Nothing makes me happier then SALES TIME! It is the perfect moment to invest on things without having that feeling you are spending too much. Of course one has to be quick or you can end up with nothing left (specially if you have a size that tends to sell out fast). One of the things I got on the sales was this (oh so comfy!) Stella McCartney denim dungaree. Now what is perfect about a garment like this? Perfect for summer and perfect for winter (including all in between).  I was tempted to get a bikini and some more sandals but at this point its not a very smart thing to do since summer lasts only a few months and with what I have so far in that area it’s more than enough.

Another summer friendly footwear are sneakers, they are comfortable and easy to wear. I was already taking long to shoot an outfit with them but finally here they are, I bet every girl in the world has a pair (just like denim cutoff shorts) but they are one of those classics that suit everybody.

No hay nada que me guste mas que cuando comienzan las tan esperadas REBAJAS! Es el momento perfecto para invertir en ciertas cosas sin tener la sensación de que te estas dejando demasiado dinero. Por supuesto lo malo es que hay ser de los primeros o te quedas sin nada (especialmente si eres de las tallas que se acaban enseguida). Una de las cosas que me pillé en las rebajas es este peto vaquero de Stella McCartney. Ahora bien que es lo que hace que este peto sea tan buena inversión? El hecho de que es perfecto para verano y a la vez para el invierno. Estuve tentada de pillarme un bikini o mas sandalias pero creo que no es algo muy sensato siendo que para un par de meses ya con lo que tengo es suficiente.

Otro calzado ideal para el verano aparte de la sandalias y espardeñas son las zapatillas, son comodísimas y fáciles de combinar. Ya estaba tardando en actualizar algún conjunto con ellas, pero nunca se dio la ocasión. Esta es de esas prendas que todas o casi todas (junto con los shorts vaqueros) tenemos,es un clásico que le queda bien a todo el mundo.

This outfit was what I wore yesterday to a pool party. Nothing fancy just some casual everyday summer outfit. I’m really not loving this heat at all, in fact i’m not a summer fan. I love spring and fall it’s fun to get dressed and it’s unpredictable, winter and summer are boring and uncomfortable but if I had to choose form the two I take summer eyes closed. Bad thing is I love long sleeves and cardigans and socks and not being able to wear that because its too hot sucks. Luckily we can play with other things such as accessories and jewelry but I don’t have much of the two, so I think a good investment now that it’s sales time is invest on 1.jewelry and 2.belts in different colors both things can really make a summer outfit.

Este conjunto lo llevaba ayer para una especie de fiesta en la piscina. La verdad es bastante simple un conjunto de verano para todos los días. No estoy llevando muy bien este calor tan horrible, no me gusta mucho el verano. Adoro la primavera y el otoño porque son impredecibles y se puede llevar de todo pero el invierno y el verano son aburridos e incomodos aunque si tuviera que escoger entre los dos a ojos cerrado escojo el verano. Lo malo del verano para mi es que me encantan las mangas largas, las 2 capas de camiseta o blusa + cardigan y también los calcetines y no poder usarlos por el calor que hace, me limita bastante. Por suerte podemos jugar con otras cosas como con los accesorios y bisutería pero como yo casi no tengo de lo uno ni lo otro tampoco puedo hacer mucho. He pensado que la mejor inversión especialmente ahora con las rebajas es 1. invertir en bisutería/joyería 2. invertir en cinturones porque estos dos elementos pueden transformar un conjunto simple en algo mas espectacular.

So we went to the zoo, a type of zoo called Faunia. It was so hot and picking an outfit to go to the zoo might seem quite ridiculous for most people but it actually is a challenge as you have to spend all day under the sun walking and walking and walking, so basically the goal here is to not get sun burned (I don’t even want to think how awful the marks can get when you get sun burned with a dress like this ones) and of course to end up with your feet intact. Luckily I did well and had no problems in this area.

The dress i’m wearing here has quite some history. Its vintage, but the dress you see in the pictures is not the original dress I bought, see the original dress was long (think of a maxi dress from the 90′s) and it was a couple of sizes bigger than mine. What I did was bring it home and transform it myself, into what I had in mind of a perfect summer dress. It was a lot of work but I enjoy doing this to clothes because this way I make sure nobody else has it  and most important of all I make sure I get what I want, cause honestly if you cant find what you have in mind, you have to create it yourself! This was 3 years ago and the purpose of this dress was to last a few festivals, now as you can see it is still on shape going strong hopefully for many summers to come. It is still not 100% perfect as I would rather have it be all blue, but its pretty close and I love it! Next time I do this I think it will be fun to document it and share it with you.

Hace unos días estuve en Faunia, para l@s que no lo conocéis es un estilo zoo pero con animales un poco mas exóticos. Escoger que ponerse para pasar el día en el zoo para mucha gente puede parecer ridículo pero en realidad pasar todo un día bajo el sol caminando y caminando requiere algo cómodo y que te garantize que no vas a quemarte y que no vas a dañarte los pies. Por suerte no tuve problemas con esto gracias a mi sombrero y zapatos resistentes.

El vestido que llevé ese día tiene bastante historia. Es vintage pero el vestido que se ve en las fotos no es el vestido original. El vestido en un comienzo era un vestido largo y al menos dos tallas mas que la mía, pero me gusto mucho y le vi tanto potencial que lo compré igualmente. Lo que hize fue transformarlo yo misma en lo que pensé sería el perfecto vestido de verano. La verdad fue bastante trabajo pero disfruto muchísimo alterando yo misma mi ropa porque así me aseguro de que 1. nadie tendrá lo mismo y 2. consigo lo que realmente quiero porque cuando tienes una idea en la cabeza de algo en especial pero no lo encuentras la única solución que existe es crearlo tu misma. Esto fue hace 3 años y el propósito de este vestido era que resistiera a  un par de festivales, pero como veis sigue en perfectas condiciones y con suerte lo tendré por muchos años más. No es 100% perfecto ya que yo preferiría que por arriba también fuera azul pero aun así me encanta! He pensado que cuando vuelva a hacer alguna de mis grandes modificaciones con la ropa voy a documentarlo y compartirlo con vosotr@s!
