It’s been a while since I last wore this lovely striped dress. I have a few and I wear some more than others, and the thing with this one is even though I love it, the fabric is only suitable for in between weather. Not ideal for summer and for winter it works fine, but you usually end up covering the dress with more garments and it doesn’t really show. So I use it the most in spring. A great alternative to flats (how I usually wear my striped dresses) is sneakers. They work really well with any dress, in this case I was feeling matchy matchy so I went for the same colors that my dress has, but black or grey would work just as fine.

One of my favorite combinations of colors of all times for sure is navy and black. I love both colors so much, that when mixed together I love them even more. I believe they suit everyone and they are so easy ti wear. I specially love to wear them in spring and summer, it is a refreshing alternative to what everyone else is wearing, bright and light colors. Of course they are amazing in colder weather as well, but in the warmest months in it becomes more of a rare thing, to spot someone in all dark tones.

Es una combinación que le sienta bien a todo el mundo y es tan fácil de usar. Today I am wearing my new trousers (not THAT new), that I got in L.A a few months ago. They were a garment that I was dying to add to my wardrobe since last summer. Wide, silk, flowy, light fabric, black pants are the best, most comfortable, most classic and versatile garment, oh!…and elegant too!…that you can wear during hot weather. I wanted trousers that would be actually suitable for this time of the year, and finally I found them. This particular pair is not too long that you can’t see the ankles and is not too short as to be consider a culotte. They have the perfect length that allows even more ways of wearing it and guarantees to be a great addition to any women’s wardrobe, and of course since it is a classic piece, it is timeless! So if you don’t have a pair yet, my advice is to give them a try, you will be wearing yours non stop!

Hoy llevo mis pantalones nuevos (no tan nuevos), que compré en L.A hace unos meses. Son la prenda perfecta para la primavera y verano, que llevaba tanto tiempo queriendo encontrar! Anchos, suaves, ligeros y con movimiento estos pantalones son la opción mas cómoda y clásica y elegante para el verano. Levaba queriendo algo así desde el verano pasado, pero no me fue muy fácil encontrarlos, hasta que este año tuve suerte! Este par en particular tiene el plus de que no son muy largos como para tapar el pie, ni muy cortos para pasar por culottes. Tienen un largo ideal que permite muchas mas formas de usarlo y es con seguridad un añadido estupendo en cualquier armario! Sobra mencionar que al ser clásicos y versátiles son totalmente atemporales. Para las que busquéis algo ligero y neutro para este y futuros veranos os recomiendo probar algo en este estilo, sinceramente valen la pena!

Today’s outfit has more pictures than usual. It is a layer by layer outfit. Since I am really in fall, although the temperature in fall here is a lot less colder than what fall is in Madrid and it definitely is like some peoples summer (like my friend Omar in Copenhague), I decided to show you the evolution of the outfit through the day. Being here now and having my BFF in Northern Europe and having the exact same temperature being in opposite hemispheres makes me think how different our perceptions of a season can be, and how it might be useful for once to focus on my readers who are located in that area ( New England and Canada as well!) I believe this outfit is more suitable for your spring.

El conjunto de hoy tiene un tanto mas de fotos que las que suelo usar ya que es un conjunto por capas. Como sabéis me encuentro en el otro lado del mundo y aquí es otoño, un otoño mucho mas ligero pero es otoño al fin y al cabo. Esto supone mañanas y noches mas frías pero una temperatura muy agradable por el día. Estando aquí en Santiago de Chile y mi mejor amigo Omar en Copenhague en dos puntas opuestas del mundo pero con la misma exacta temperatura me hace pensar en lo diferente que puede ser nuestra percepción de una estación en particular. Así que hoy me hizo pensar en mis lectoras que estáis en esos lugares del mundo como Omar que casi no tienen verano, y la primavera es un tanto fría. Seguramente este conjunto sea mas apto para vosotras, que debéis estar como yo con este rollo de las capas que aunque a mi me encanta mas que nada, a veces es un poco abrumador.
