Looks like a collection I would mostly wear for a night out, an event or the office (if I worked in an office environment that required a dress code). That does not crash with the fact that the clothes are gorgeous and sexy, without being over the top, keeping that 1990’s nostalgia very much representative of Sharon Stone’s style at the time.

Una colección que yo personalmente usaría para salir por la noche, para algún evento o para el trabajo (si trabajase en un ambiente de oficina que con un código de vestir determinado). Esto no evita claro, que sea una colección extraordinaria, la ropa es sexy y elegante, sin ser demasiado. Tiene un aire a los noventa, muy en linea con el estilo que llevaba Sharon Stone en la época.

Every single season you can see that I share with you my favorite collections. Sometimes I share with you X designer and sometimes Y, but the ones that always repeat itself no matter what are two: Margaret Howell and The Row. I feel the most identified with this two. Today I am talking about the last one.
Resort and Pre-Fall are always my favorite collections I don’t have a reason exactly but I believe since they are in between weather, designers use them as a bridge between their two most important collections SS (spring summer) and FW (fall winter). Since I am the biggest fan of in between weather it might somewhat be predictable that I gravitate towards this collections. In this one in particular the color palette (as usual) is on point, and the garments are dreamy. Classic, versatile and flowy (they look comfortable too)! I wish I could afford the whole collection or at least half because I would have it in my closet as of yesterday.

Cada temporada me gusta compartir con vosotros algunas de mi colecciones favoritas. Hay veces que os enseño X diseñador y otras veces Y, sin embargo hay dos que siempre repito: Margaret Howell y The Row. Me identifico totalmente con la estética de estas firmas. Hoy os hablaré de la segunda.
Resort y Pre-Fall son mis dos colecciones favoritas, no sé exactamente por que, pero creo que es por que son de entretiempo, se usan como puente entre las colecciones invierno y verano, y yo como soy tan de entretiempo me siento atraída a estas. Esta en particular tiene una paleta de colores que me encanta y las prendas son clásicas, versátiles y con movimiento, parecen muy cómodas también! Ya me gustaría poder pillarme la colección completa, de ser así estaría en mi armario desde ayer!

At first look I think we can think of this collection…well isn’t this a trendy version of minimal clothes? But then after taking the time to look more into it, and inspect the details we can start to realize there is actually nothing trendy about the clothes themselves, if anything it is the way they are put together layered over sheer tops, but separating the items one by one we can see they are as classic as it gets (except maybe for the printed sneakers). Now there are classics like black flats that are classics that have been around forever, and then we have the modern classics that have been around for a decade or less, think boyfriend jeans. Here we have both, and that is refreshing. I love the mix of both, it is so fun to look at, so interesting in the way they connect (though I would get rid of a big portion of the sheer garments), I am digging this collection very much. I like the use of the stripes in a different way, as you know I am crazy for stripes, and these are no exception. So I’ll leave it up to you to decide what you feel about this but in my opinion it is a wonderful collection. The only but…I guess there always is a but in me, as I am a perfectionist, it reminds me a bit of Céline current collection (SS 2015). What do you think?

A primera vista creo que podemos pensar de esta colección que es una versión un poco trendy del estilo minimalista. Pero luego después de analizarla bien nos damos cuenta de que las prendas no tienen nada de trendy, si hay algo que lo es, sería como se presenta cada conjunto…con los toques de transparencias, pero cada prenda por separado es lo más clásica que se pueda pedir (a excepción claro de las zapatillas con estampado). Ahora bien, si hablamos de clásicos yo los dividiría en dos: los clásicos de toda la vida y los clásicos modernos. Estos últimos solo llevan poco tiempo en esta categoría…vamos a pensar en las Birkenstock o los vaqueros estilo boyfriend. En esta colección vemos un poco de ambos lo que es de lo más interesante. Me encanta la mezcla de los dos tipos, la forma en que conectan resulta divertido y fresco, aunque yo personalmente quitaría la capa de transparencias. Me gusta como se presenta el estampado a rayas, es distinto de lo usual, aunque si ya llevamos viendo esto en las últimas temporadas de CK, pero que lo repitan no quita que sea diferente. No sé vuestra opinion pero a mi me gusta mucho esta colección. El único pero…es que recuerda bastante a la colección actual de Céline (hablamos de PV 2015). Que os parece?
While waiting for all the Resort 2016 collections to come up, a good source of inspiration is still the Fall Winter 2015/2016 collections. Today I want to share with you a collection that draw my attention because of it’s down to earth and simple garments. I am always looking for something easy to wear, than can last for years to come, and this collection is just that. I only choose the dark looks, because they are really my favorite and this is what I would wear normally in fall.
My favorite thing in this collection has to be the footwear of course. Jenni Kayne has already grown a reputation for her shoe collection, specially the D’Orsay flats. There have been many brands copying her designs, and sometimes if in pictures, I can have a hard time telling the difference, but at the end, the one and only, the originals are hers. I have yet to get myself a pair, I have been dying for one since so long, and honestly what has been keeping me from getting one is the fact that I don’t have access to them, so I can’t try them to get my size right. I have heard mixed reviews on sizing so I am not going to venture and get them online only to get the wrong pair and have to exchange. So in the meantime I just drool over pictures, and even more when I see new styles coming up like the mules featured here.

Mientras esperamos a que aparezcan todas las colecciones Resort 2016 una buena fuente de inspiración siguen siendo las colecciones anteriores, como por ejemplo las presentadas hace unos meses, de otoño 2015/2016. Hoy quise compartir una que me llamo mucho la atención debido a lo simple y usable que son las prendas: Jenni Kayne. Siempre me decanto por lo fácil de usar, lo que va a perdurar en el tiempo y esta colección es justo eso. Elegí los looks más oscuros ya que son mis favoritos y son lo que yo normalmente usaría.
Lo que mas me gusta de esta colección es sin dudarlo son los zapatos. Jenni Kayne se ha ganado ya una reputación por su colección de calzado, en particular por las famosas D’Orsay flats. Son muchas las marcas que copian sus diseños y la verdad lo hacen de forma tan exacta que muchas veces reconozco que en fotos me cuesta reconocer las originales de las copias, pero al final no es una cosa de que si se le parecen o no, es saber que uno lleva el diseño original. Aún tengo que comprarme unas, llevo tras de un par hace años, pero he leído muchas opiniones distintas sobre como tallan y al no tener acceso a ellas, no soy capaz de comprarme un par online y para luego devolverlas o tener que cambiarlas. Creo que son tipo de calzado mas complicado y lo mejor es poder probarlas, así que de momento espero hasta que pueda acceder a ellas.
