I’ve been wanting “bad” weather since forever, it kind of reminds me of what people living in Souther California always say…I need some rain! Well I kind of need it too and so far besides last week we’ve been having awesome weather. I went out last night with a skirt and no tights, and even though I love it I crave some rain. Last week when we had rain the temperature was so tropical mild I went out like this thinking I was so perfectly dressed for the day, well guess what I was so hot! I could not believe my eyes seeing everyone dressed with parkas! Come on people its early fall, there is no need to feel so motivated with cold just yet. When I see that I think well what do these people wear in January? Astronauts suits? Of course we cant always be right on what we wear on terms of weather but I think it is so important to stay true to the actual season we are living and layer little by little.

Llevo deseando que llegue el “mal tiempo” desde hace tiempo, me recuerda a lo que siempre comenta la gente del sur de California: “necesito lluvia!” bien pues ahora mismo yo también. Mucho de lo mismo aburre y con excepción de la semana pasada el tiempo ha seguido un tanto veraniego. Anoche salí con falda y sin medias y la verdad se estaba estupendamente, y aunque me encanta ese tipo de conjuntos la verdad necesito lluvia. La semana pasada cuando llovió (el día de estas fotos) salí tan contenta con este conjunto a la calle pensando que iba ideal para la temperatura. Pues bien grave error, pese a la lluvia hizo muchísimo calor! Veía gente por la calle en parkas y pensaba, como es posible? No me lo creo que la gente se motive tanto con el frío que puede llevar entonces esta gente en Enero, trajes de astronautas? Obviamente no podemos acertar siempre con el tiempo y es normal, pero veo bastante importante ya por una cosa de salud mental y bienestar general ir vestidos lo mas acorde con la estación real que estamos viviendo, es imprescindible estar cómodo todos los días de nuestras vidas para sentirnos bien y eso comienza por nuestro aspecto! Mi recomendación: añadir capas poco a poco según cambia el tiempo.

Fall is already here, in all it’s majesty. This weekend was so rainy, and strangely enough I was so happy with this weather. Now this is Spain, so of course even if we are talking rain we are lucky enough to have awesome temperature, so no tights are needed just yet, not even trousers to be honest. This outfit was perfect for the weather we had, a light coat was more than enough.
I wore my Acne Studios “baby flats” as I call them because well, they are in the style of the flats toddlers wear. I have a more obvious pair of “baby flats” by Topshop I got four years ago, this ones have this childish vibe but with a modern twist, that’s why I love them so, so much. I got them in Stockholm at one of the many Acne Studios stores we visited, yes Omar is the biggest fan (me too) but he took me to almost all of them, and convinced me to buy these. I was a little skeptical at first, since summer was just starting I knew I could not wear them in Spain until fall (due to the high temperatures), so I would have to keep them in my closet for months just waiting there to be worn. Well fortunately I am very patient, I am not the type of person that buys something and wears it right away, I wait until the moment comes, and after three months, finally it came!

El otoño ya esta aquí en toda su gloria. Este fin de semana fue bastante lluvioso pero extrañamente me lleno de alegría. Ahora claro, estando en Madrid el tiempo no es frío hasta bien entrado el otoño así que no hace falta ir en pantalones ni mucho abrigo aún. Este tipo de conjunto es la combinación perfecta para empezar el otoño y así añadimos poco a poco mas capas hasta llegar al invierno.
Estrene mis “zapatos de bebé” de Acne Studios. Le he puesto este mote a este tipo de calzado porque me recuerdan mucho a los zapatitos que usan las niñas pequeñas o los bebes. Tengo unos de Topshop que son calcados a los de los niños pequeños pero estos aun que tienen un aire infantil también tienen un toque moderno y menos evidente. Los compré en Estocolmo hace unos meses en una de las tiendas de Acne Studios ya ni me acuerdo en cual, mi amigo Omar como buen fan de Acne (yo también lo soy) me llevo a casi todas y me convenció de que tenía que llevarme estos. Al comienzo dudé bastante, era finales de primavera/comienzos de otoño y la verdad es que sabía que no iba a tener oportunidad de usarlos hasta llegado el otoño, pero como soy una persona muy paciente especialmente con el tema de la ropa (puedo comprar algo y no siento la necesidad de usarlo inmediatamente, lo guardo hasta que llega su momento) al final me decidí por ellas. Pues bien han pasado tres meses y por fin ha llegado su momento!

Im’ wearing my Rosarte sweatshirt by Rodarte for the first time in an outfit post. I got this one together with my Rohearte sweatshirt and my J’aime Rodarte t-shirt all of course by the same brand. A few months ago I mentioned how amazing the quality is and how much I love them so I am not going to repeat that all over again, all I will add today is if you want a good sweatshirt (my addiction for the past three years), buy RODARTE, worth every penny.
Now what I will talk about today is my running sneakers. Yesterday I got a warning through my Nike running app that I had already run five hundred something kilometers with the same sneakers and that it was time to change them. Really? Before my current ones I ran almost the same amount of kilometers with a brand-less pair my sister in law gave me because she did not use them. Honestly they would have lasted probably double that amount in perfect condition. I know it’s just a strategy to make consumers buy more, but I found it so obvious and annoying. Besides that, the fact is I realized I had never ever asked myself which pair I was going to get next (after my sneakers die) so for this I need your help. Running ladies, which sneakers do you recommend? I have no idea which sneakers I should have under my radar, just in case I need to replace these.

Primera vez en el blog que llevo mi sudadera Rosarte de Rodarte. La compré el año pasado junto con mi sudadera Rohearte y mi camiseta J’aime Rodarte todas de Rodarte obviamente. Hace unos meses mencioné en un post lo encantada que estoy con mis prendas de la marca, como su calidad es excelente y lo mucho que os recomiendo sus productos. No me voy a repetir otra vez, solo añadiré que si estáis en la busca de una buena sudadera (una de mis adicciones estos últimos tres años) esta es la mejor opción.
De lo que sí hablaré hoy es de mis zapatillas. Son mis zapatillas de correr/día. Mas que nada las uso para correr pero a veces me dar por usarlas con otro fin. Ayer recibí una notificación de la running app de Nike que ya era momento de cambiar mis zapatillas pasados casi seis cientos kilómetros corriendo con ellas. La verdad es que molesto muchísimo. Esta claro que es una artimaña bastante obvia para vender mas zapatillas y la verdad las mias están estupendas, de hecho antes de correr con estas corría con unas que me dejó mi cuñada que y que no eran de ninguna marca especializada en correr. Pues bien con esas zapatillas corrí mas menos la misma cantidad de kilómetros que en este caso y aun tenían mucha vida por delante. Claramente de momento no voy a cambiarlas, pero me ha surgido la duda que jamás me he planteado remplazarlas y de hacerlo por qué modelo/marca lo haría. Así que bien a las que sois corredoras como yo os pregunto, que zapatillas debería considerar?

The first days of fall are never really cold, so the weather has been perfect to wear absolutely anything. I love this type of weather because it allows all the combinations possible: sandals with trench, sneakers with mini skirts, sleeveless shirt with boots, anything you want will look good.
I love all those crazy garment combinations that make no sense, it bores me to death wearing always the same, in summer I never wear pants because they bother me terribly. In winter I hardly wear skirts, because I like wearing them without tights, so i’m in trousers 90% of the time. In fall and spring though, it’s so much more spontaneous, alternating all types of garments is the most fun, and it fills me with inspiration.

Los primeros días de otoño nunca son fríos con lo cual el tiempo últimamente esta siendo ideal para llevar cualquier conjunto. Me encanta este tiempo porque te permite llevar las combinaciones más sin sentido posibles: sandalias con trenca, zapatillas con faldas, camisas sin manga y medias, cualquier combinación queda bien.
Me encantan todas esas combinaciones sin sentido, me desespera siempre lo mismo, en verano no puedo llevar pantalón porque me muero del calor, y en invierno casi no suelo llevar faldas o vestidos, porque prefiero ir sin medias, así que es 90% pantalón. Sin embargo en otoño y primavera ir variando con todas las prendas a mi parecer es lo mas divertido, acabo por sentirme mas inspirada y creo que quizás es cuando me visto mejor.
