Last outfit from my trip to Chile (and last of the year). I am now back in Madrid and will be heading to the mountains tomorrow, to spend the last and first days of the new year. I am thrilled to be back home, winter is beautiful and I am ready to enjoy it!
This outfit is what I wore for Christmas Eve. Since I was doing a lot of help in the kitchen and due to the heat in Santiago I decided to go for slides with my slip-on dress. Not the usual heels, but something different and comfortable.

Ultimo conjunto de mi viaje a Chile ( y último de este año). Me encuentro de vuelta en Madrid, pero mañana me voy a pasar fin de año a la montaña. Estoy encantada de estar en casa otra vez, el invierno tiene lo suyo y estoy con ganas de disfrutarlo!
Este conjunto es de antes de la cena de Nochebuena. Como debía ayudar en la cocina y con todo el calor de aquel día decidí combinar mi vestido de tirantes con sandalias planas en vez de tacones, algo diferente y cómodo.

My trip to Santiago is coming to an end and as much as I am enjoying summer, I really want to get back home, as cold as it is back there. It’s been a few years since I last spent January in Madrid, I tend to avoid the coldest month of the year but this year I am happy to spent it home.
Today my outfit is yet again an all black with white sneakers, a combination I tend to use a lot specially on days, when I don’t have much time to spare.

Mi viaje a Santiago esta llegando a su fin, y aunque estoy disfrutando muchísimo de este clima tengo ganas de volver a casa, por mucho frío que vaya a pasar. Hace unos cuantos años que no paso el mes de Enero en Madrid, tiendo a evitar el mes mas frío del año, pero esta vez tengo ganas de comenzar este nuevo año en el invierno.
Hoy mi conjunto es como suele ser en bastantes ocasiones, todo negro con zapatillas blancas una combinación que uso mucho, especialmente cuando no tengo mucho tiempo por las mañanas para vestirme.

Black and white: one of my favorite combinations for my last day in Santiago. It has been two amazing months, and I’m already counting the days to come back, which luckily for me is very soon!
I hope I was able to show you not only what to wear in Santiago’s summer, but through Instagram all the great places the city I grew up in has to offer. Of course there is so much more and that I will leave it for my next visit, in the meantime stay tuned for my complete guide to SCL coming next week!

Blanco y negro: unas de mis combinaciones favoritas para mi último día en Santiago. Han sido dos increíbles meses, ya estoy contando los días para volver, lo que por suerte para mí es muy pronto!
Espero haberos mostrado no solo como vestir para un caluroso verano santiaguino sino también haberos mostrado a través de mi cuenta de Instagram todo lo que la ciudad en la que crecí tiene para ofrecer. So today I am wearing my new (relatively new, I got it early December just before my trip) leather skirt. I had waited YEARS, for this perfect leather skirt to exist. Before, a long time ago in my early blog days, I had a very similar one from Topshop that I wore to death, but after some years of use, it started to wear off pretty badly, even small wholes appeared. Of course leather does not mean good leather, and I learned my lesson, so after a painful goodbye I started my hunt for a replacement. I waited so long for a great leather skirt to be created…years and years went by and I can’t believe I found one…finally!!! I love that it is a very light, soft leather so it can be worn on warm months as well. This is the perfect leather skirt and I couldn’t be happier now.

Hoy llevo mi falda de cuero nueva. Relativamente nueva la verdad la compré en Diciembre justo antes de venirme a Santiago. He estado esperando AÑOS, os lo prometo para la perfecta faldita de cuero. Hace años en los comienzos de este blog, podéis ver que llevaba una. Era de Topshop y la había comprado hace tiempo y me encantaba, el problema como viene siendo siempre con aquellas marcas es la mala calidad. La usé bastante y al poco tiempo se deterioro de tal forma que tuve que tirarla. No porque una falda sea de cuero significa que es de buena calidad, y sin duda en este material es cuando más hay que invertir en que lo sea. Hasta que encontré esta han pasado unos tres años pero ha valido la pena la espera, aunque el diseño es casi igual, no hay comparación en la calidad y otro gran punto a favor es que esta hecha de cuero ligero y flexible, lo que la hace ideal para el calor. Conclusión: invertir mas en un comienzo por una buena prenda nos ahorrará a la larga tiempo y dinero.
