A pair of heels a season. Since I don’t wear much heels that’s all I really need, and all I really buy. This lovely pair by Isabel Marant has been on my wishlist since they first came out back in Fall 2010. They were only released for a season and then they disappeared until this re-release for Spring 2014. So of course when I saw them this season I knew I had to have them. I never expected them to go on sale, I was actually quite ready to take the plunge at full price (thing I never do for high heels) but somehow I saw them not selling online so I decided to wait. To my surprise they went on sale on almost every online retailer I know, which was pretty much fantastic, and there was still stock left in my size (first size to always sell out), which is even more of a surprise, so of course I am thrilled!
This type of phenomenon that has been happening a lot lately, the re-release of best-selling pieces that have now become classics to have them stay as permanent items pretty much sums up what my vision of fashion is: classic fashion. A piece that will remain timeless (all the opposite to trendy) is always a good investment. For those of you who follow me on INSTAGRAM you might have seen this outfit I posted this weekend. I wore this on Saturday. We had a lovely summer day not as hot as it usually is for this time of the year which was fantastic so I could wear long sleeves. Most of all my shirts and t-shirts have long sleeves so in summer I struggle with variety on the upper part section. This year I set myself to buy more summer friendly clothes and so far im doing so so. Most of my sale goodies are most suitable for in between seasons than summer. Hopefully I can still find something in the last days of sale.

If you read my post about “How I wear: LBD Little Black Dress” you will remember how I stated how I will start to do a how I wear/one garment four ways section on my blog. As many of you know, I am a big fan of dungarees and anything really that can be worn with something underneath, it multiplies the different ways it can be worn and therefore the number of times you can wear it.
Since a lot of you having be asking about this I am today posting three different ways of wearing black dungarees (in mild weather).
The dungarees in question are by Topshop and I got them last January while in South America, most specifically in Santiago, Chile. I remember they were the only pair in the store and I was kind of doubting if I should get them or not, because they were a little big on me, and I was concerned about the quality. I was messaging my friend Omar back in Madrid and he was telling me, don’t get them, please don’t get them. I did not get them, since I had to return to the store in a few days I decided to play with fate and see what happened. If I came back and they were still there they were meant to be mine, if I returned and they were gone, then well, let them be gone. I waited a few days and I went back to the store this time with my mom and they still had them…so I tried them, mom loved it, and so I got them.
It was a great purchase because I wear them a lot…a whole big lot. And while Omar’s advice is hardly ever wrong, this time it was.
As you can see there are various ways to wearing dungarees, and wear it more on the casual side with sneakers or a little bit more classic with flats, they work just as fine. So…if you are thinking on getting your own pair…PLEASE DO! You won’t regret it.
