Today I am wearing my new Prada black trousers. I got these last weekend while hunting for a sweater at the sales in the boutique in Madrid. It’s funny how one can set to buy a particular garment and end up buying something completely different. I was in need of both but was focused to find a sweater, sadly there was nothing so I tried the only thing in the whole store left in my size, and it was love. In a previous post I wrote about how my favorite trousers ever, purchased ten years ago finally died (of discoloration and various rips, so I had to throw them) and was in search of a new pair. This particular pair however is made of a satin-ish fabric so they are a bit fancier that what I was searching for, but in the meantime they do the trick, so I guess you will see a lot of this one in the future.

Hoy llevo mis nuevos pantalones negros. Los compre el fin de semana pasado mientras buscaba desesperadamente un jersey en la boutique de Madrid. Siendo primer día de rebajas sabía que cualquier cosa podría pasar, y de hecho así fue. De jerseys nada, lo único en mi talla en toda la tienda eran estos pantalones negros, que me encantaron y en vistas de que hace mas menos un mes, di de baja el par en corte clásico que tenía no dude en quedármelos. Están hechos de seda, pero el tratado es rígido satinado, no necesariamente lo que tenía en mente pero aun así me encantan y se que los usaré un montón así que prepararos para verlos bastante en mis próximas fotos.

Navy + charcoal + black all very different but part of the same story. I’m wearing my “other” coat today, yup I call it like that because it is actually my number two coat. I have been selling all my old coats and so far have kept two, might get a third one, but that will be all for this winter, so you will have to see me bounce back and forth between one and the other. Thats what happens when you go minimal at heart and when you buy top luxury fashion. Your wardrobe shrinks with quantity (but glows in quality).

Hoy llevo mi “otro” abrigo, es el nombre que le he puesto ya que he vendido todos mis viejos abrigos y de momento solo tengo dos, y este es mi número dos. Probablemente incluya un tercero, pero eso será todo este invierno. Es lo que tiene ser minimalista de corazón y comprar máximo lujo. Mi armario ha encogido en cantidad, pero ha crecido en calidad, y naturalmente prefiero la calidad!

An outfit I wore while on the countryside last week. I am becoming such a big fan of leaving the city on weekends and just breathe fresh air, and peace everywhere. We are lucky to have a place to go to, whenever we feel like it, and even though it is in the countryside it’s location is amazing to explore the whole region.
There are numbers of towns and cities so close by that deserve a visit, every time we go we discover some place new. Well at least I do, I know my boyfriend has been visiting these places since he was a little boy, but he still finds them fascinating. This has become my favorite thing in the world to do, go on mini adventures discovering hidden places with tons of history and great picture potential.
Here I am visiting an ancient chapel built in the twelfth century. It’s hidden…and empty most days so why not use it as the setting of my outfit, and show you both an amazing place and a new ensemble!

Últimamente nos hemos vuelto expertos en salir los fines de semana de Madrid y escapar al campo a cambiar de aires y respirar tranquilidad. Afortunadamente tenemos un sitio donde ir cuando queramos y aunque es una finca rural su ubicación es perfecta para hacer turismo por la zona.
Hay una enorme cantidad de pueblos y pequeñas ciudades cerca, y cada vez que vamos descubrimos un sitio nuevo. O al menos yo, lo que es mi novio lleva visitando los mismos sitios desde pequeño, aunque muchos los esta re-descubriendo después de muchísimos años. No hay nada que me guste mas que pasar los fines de semanas de esta forma, mini aventuras, explorando lugares nuevos.
Estas fotos fueron hechas en nuestra visita a una ermita bastante escondida y al parecer desierta la mayor parte del tiempo, lo cual la hizo perfecta para recorrer a nuestro antojo y hacer fotos sin interrupciones.

It becomes evident if you browse through this blog that I love monochrome. It’s easy to wear and easy to visualize when you are trying to figure out an outfit. Whenever I am having trouble picking out an outfit, I always go monochrome (mostly black because I own more black clothes, but hey! grey is an awesome option as well). Here I went all grey for the inside layer and added a black coat, for some contrast.

Resulta evidente que me encantan los conjuntos monocromáticos. Son fáciles de usar y aun más fáciles de crear. En esos días que me resulta imposible decidir por un conjunto, siempre acabo tirando de monocromáticos (en su mayoría en negro, pero vamos que el gris es una alternativa estupenda!). Hoy es un conjunto gris en la capa interior, pero con el abrigo y accesorios cambia completamente!
