It seems like spring not only did it come early this year, but maybe summer will too. After such high temperatures for this time of the year I have gone all in with my lighter clothes. This time I wore one of my favorite shirts, I got it last year but was unable to wear it due to the cold, combined with jeans and flats. I am becoming so obsessed with oversized shirts, they are beyond comfortable, easy to wear and they make a super flattering silhouette specially when worn with slim/skinny jeans.

Parece que este año no solo se nos adelanta la primavera, si no que lo mas seguro que se nos adelante el verano también. Con estas temperaturas tan altas para la época, sobre todo las que tuvimos este fin de semana, me ha sido imposible evitar mis prendas ligeras, ideales para el entre tiempo. Hace meses que deseaba usar esta camisa, la compré a finales del año pasado, pero debido al frío se quedó en mi armario. Por fin, el buen tiempo ha hecho posible que pueda estrenarla y estoy encantada! La combiné de forma casual y cómoda con vaqueros y bailarinas. Ultimamente me estoy aficionando a las camisas oversize, me encantan! Son cómodas, fáciles de usar y crean una silueta muy favorecedora, especialmente si se llevan con vaqueros rectos o pitillos.

Simple but classic outfit for a day less cold than usual. So evidently, I went for spring footwear and gave my booties a little rest. I wore my new bag for the first time, and it is seriously the most practical bag I have ever own. I love how it reminds me of the late 1990’s im so in love with that decade, minimalism was never done as well as back then.

Conjunto simple y clásico para un día menos frío que lo habitual. A la minima que se asoma la primavera dejo mis prendas de invierno de lado y aprovecho a llevar ropa mas ligera. Sé que este mini verano no va a durar mucho, porque en realidad seguimos en invierno. Estreno bolso, y la verdad que hace tiempo que no tenía uno tan práctico. Me encanta que el diseño esta inspirado en la década de los noventa, para mi es cuando mejor se llevaba el minimalismo.

Transitioning into spring (or fall) is the most fun moment of the year (clothing wise), at least for me. Its all about layering, unusual combinations and you get to wear almost everything in your closet.
This winter was pretty monotonous for me because of the lack of winter clothes I have, and I guess until next winter I won’t be able to really play and combine clothes besides my black/anthracite/grey garments. Spring however is a different story. I have a lot more to wear, and I feel my most creative.
For the first day of “spring weather yet still in winter” I wore a classic white shirt with jeans combination, but with a turtleneck underneath. Since it still isn’t as warm as real spring wearing just a shirt is not and option, and with this really oversized design wearing a sweater over it isn’t an option. So I came up with this combo, very 1990’s inspired (I remember as a kid my mom had this look pretty often).

Pasar de invierno a primavera (o de primavera a invierno) es para mi el momento mas divertido del año, sobre todo en temas de ropa. Combinaciones inusuales y jugar con capas saca de mi, el lado mas creativo. Es la oportunidad perfecta para usar casi el 100% de las prendas de mi armario lo que se traduce en mucha mas variedad de conjuntos.
Este invierno fue bastante monotono para mi, ya que con poca ropa no me permite hacer muchas combinaciones y me falta añadir unos cuantos neutros a mi paleta de negro/carbón/gris.
Para el primer día de invierno pero casi primavera he combinado unos vaqueros con una camisa clásica blanca. Como aun no hace el suficiente calor como para llevar la camisa por si sola, y con lo oversize que es ponerle un jersey arriba es imposible decidí hacerlo al revés y poner el jersey por debajo. De inspiración noventera ya que recuerdo que mi madre llevó este combo bastante en aquella década y la verdad funciona estupendamente.

Temperatures have been very spring like this past few days so I try to squeeze garments I wouldn’t normally wear on winter (like slippers) and mix them with my winter clothes. A coat is not needed all day which is refreshing for a change. I think we are all getting a little bit tired of winter by now and crave spring!

Las temperaturas han estado mas altas de lo normal estos últimos días así que he aprovechado a usar prendas que normalmente no usaría en invierno (como mis slippers) y mezclarlas con prendas de invierno. No hace falta llevar abrigo todo el día pero como soy friolera (menos en las piernas y pies) siempre lo llevo conmigo. Creo que estamos todos un poco cansados ya del invierno así que espero que este buen tiempo se mantenga y llegue oficialmente la primavera!
