My outfit today is in part inspired by my boyfriend and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. I will start by saying how much I love my boyfriend’s style and how much he inspires me. See, he always wears caps, mostly backwards and even though they look amazing on him I never though I would wear mine like that. I am also a big fan of caps, much before I met him, but I only own a pair and I wear them every now and then the regular way. The other day on Pinterest looking at old pictures of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy I saw a picture of her wearing her cap backwards, and I was instantly attracted to the look. It can actually look pretty good on women so what the hell, I decided to try it for and kind of love it now.
The rest of the outfit, well its just what I wear everyday: trousers and sneakers.

Mi conjunto de hoy esta inspirado en dos personas: mi novio y Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Os explico. Me encanta el estilo de mi novio, considero que viste muy bien y de lo que mas me gusta es que siempre lleva gorras, hacia atrás. Yo también adoro las gorras, desde siempre y las uso desde mucho antes de conocerle, aunque de la forma tradicional. Pues bien el otro día en Pinterest mirando fotos antiguas de Carolyn Bessette Kennedy di con una en la que llevaba una gorra de la misma forma que mi novio, hacia atrás. Nunca, hasta ese minuto había considerado la posibilidad de llevarlas de esa forma, pero por cambiar decidí probar la mía hacía atrás y la verdad me encanta.
El resto del conjunto es lo que siempre suelo llevar: pantalones y zapatillas.

Today I’m wearing a flared pair of jeans I cut myself to get the cropped look. I did this before a couple of years ago with another pair of jeans just before this style became a trend, just to test the waters and honestly I had great results. This past year it has become a big thing and brand already sell jeans in this style which I find great, but let’s not forget for a lot of us it is not just a trend it is something useful with a reason behind it. My reason is to crop pants. I find I like my trousers better when they are short and show a little bit of ankle. In my opinion it suits me better than longer pants though I do won both, but at the end I gravitate more towards a shorter style. Sooo I bought this jeans on sale a while ago to try the flared style and though I do think it is a great alternative to skinny or slim I was a little uneasy with the hem of my pants touching the floor, I just don’t know if I can live with that idea, and yes I could have them professionally altered but since this is a very affordable pair, they were the perfect pair for experimenting. I like the idea of a different take on flared jeans, cropped and ripped, in a way it still looks austere. My experimentation worked perfectly I got exactly what I was looking for and all it took was a pair of scissors.
I matched my jeans with one of my favorite, everlasting winter jumpers and my new pair of platform shoes I got in Milan. To keep the warmth in winter a good coat always does the trick and today I picked my basic black coat.

Hoy llevo un par de vaqueros que decidí cortar yo misma para lograr el estilo tobillero que tanto me gusta. Ya corte un par yo misma hace año y pico y la verdad que me encanto el resultado. Aunque lo hice un pelín antes de que llegase el boom de la tendencia la idea era conseguir un estilo diferente a todos mis demás vaqueros y con estos la idea es la misma. Quise probar el estilo acampanado pero la idea de que mis pantalones rocen el suelo no me gusta para nada así que decidí cortarlos de forma que queden tobilleros un estilo que a mi personalmente me gusta mucho. Al final el resultado me ha encantado, quería lograr un par de vaqueros simples y austeros pero acampanados y cortos y siento que lo he conseguido, experimente con un par de vaqueros bastante accesibles por si algo iba mal y la verdad me alegro de no haberme lanzado con unos mas especiales, lo mejor de todo es que solo necesite un par de tijeras de tela y ya!
Los combine con uno de mis jerseys de invierno favoritos y de los mas duraderos que tengo, mis zapatos de plataformas nuevas que compré en Milán y para el frío nada mejor que mi abrigo básico negro.

I just arrived from Milan! I spent a week there to be my boyfriend’s side while he was sent there for work, and of course to do as much sightseeing, shopping and delicious dining as I could.
There is nothing I like more than traveling and being able to really experience what a city is like, specially fashion wise. There is no discussion that Milan is one of the most stylish cities in the world, people are so fashion conscious and so elegant it is really a perfect place to get inspired and definitely one of the best places to shop in the world. Before I get into my new purchases here is what I wore last weekend for a day in Lake Como. Do I need to add how amazing Como is and how great the shopping is there as well?

Acabo de volver de Milan! Pasé una estupenda semana allí para hacerle compañía a mi novio que ha estado trabajando allí y porque no empaparme de la cultura y la ciudad lo mas posible.
No hay nada que me guste mas que viajar y de esta forma vivir la experiencia de cada ciudad, especialmente en el ámbito de la moda. No queda duda que Milan es una de las ciudades mas elegantes y con mas estilo del mundo y eso se traduce en fuente perfecta de inspiración y también en el sitio perfecto para ir de compras. Antes de ahondar en el tema de las compras comenzamos por el conjunto del fin de semana pasado, cuando visitamos el Lago Como. Necesito explicaros lo increíble que es esta pequeña ciudad y lo maravillosas que son las tiendas allí?

Finally some outfit pictures! I am loving this winter so far, even though I have not much winter clothes, it has been mild and quite easy going so there is no need to go overboard with the layers.
I am wearing a new pair of jeans I got as a gift, light denim with a great length (for petite women such as myself). I wore my jeans with a black classic turtleneck and my new oversized coat with my classic Chanel flats.

Finalmente vuelvo a tener fotos de conjuntos y de invierno! La verdad estoy encantada con el invierno que estamos teniendo (de momento), no hace falta exceso de capas, así que lo llevo bastante bien.
Hoy llevo unos vaqueros nuevos que me regalaron hace un tiempo, me encanta su color y mas el largo, que es ideal para cuando no se es alta, personalmente siempre tengo que acortar mis pantalones sobre todo si quiero llevarlos sin doblar y este par seria la excepción. He combinado los vaqueros con un jersey básico de cuello vuelto y mis bailarinas de Chanel.
