Slip on sneakers are one of the most comfortable options in the whole world. I only own a pair, with this pair it makes two, and I think I could never have enough. They are so comfortable and so versatile that they can be worn with absolutely anything. I was thinking on white first, looking at a bunch of brands, but when I saw this gorgeous ecru color, I was sold! I think white can wait, but for winter ecru will definitely do it for me!

Las zapatillas slip on son una de las opciones mas cómodas en calzados del mundo entero. Solo tengo un par, bueno con este dos y la verdad es que creo que nunca serian suficientes. Son tan cómodas y versátiles que pueden usarse con cualquier conjunto. Al comienzo pensé en comprarme unas blancas, pero al ver este par en color crudo la verdad es que me hizo mas sentido para invierno, y me enamoré!

So I had been needing a new pair of sunglasses for a while, I was bored with my three classic options (plus a very special pair in gingham I hardly use). I wanted a still classic design, but in tortoiseshell frames. I did have a few options on my wishlist, but this one made it to number one. The reasons? Quality, classic design, and most of all the actual design of the tortoiseshell print. I know there are thousands of options available, but I have a very sharp eye, and this particular variant of the print, stole my heart.
I had never tried on this design, we have no Celine stores in Spain just yet and we don’t have any optics that carry the brand and if they do they carry two or three design tops, and never this one. In fact only place I have ever managed to try on Celine sunglasses is in L.A. Even in Paris, Celine stores are always low on sunglasses stock so it’s a real problem finding a particular design, specially if its not a new one. In L.A I only managed to try on the original and the “Traveller” but they did not have this one. My only reference was the internet and still it was pretty hard to figure out if they would look good on me, since i don’t know why websites feature sunglasses, with no models. How is one supposed to get and idea of it? I even had to go through Instagram searching for #celinesunglasses, and believe it or not it became my best source. Luckily I found pictures of people wearing them and I decided to go for it.
I don’t know for how long the “Tailor” has been around, but I would say at least 5 years. It’s one of the most classic designs of Celine sunglasses together with the “Audrey” (which I don’t fancy very much) and it has a lot of color options. Unfortunately this particular one, was awfully hard to find. But of course finding garments online is my thing, and I eventually did, and I am so happy with my purchase. It is a very classic, neutral design that I would almost assure you, suits almost every type of face.

Llevaba necesitando unas gafas nuevas, hace un montón de tiempo, la verdad estaba un poco cansada de no tener muchas opciones. Tenía en mente un diseño clásico de carey y aunque tenía varias en mi pre selección al final me decante por estas. Las razones? La calidad es estupenda, el diseño clásico y neutro pero el toque especial lo añade el marco de carey con un estampado precioso, bastante mas atractivo que la mayoría.
Nunca tuve la oportunidad de probarme este modelo en particular así que fue una compra a ojos cerrados, lamentable aun no hay tiendas de Celine en España y las pocas ópticas que tiene artículos de la marca no suelen tener variedad. Por extraño que parezca el único sitio en el que he podido probarme gafas de Celine ha sido en Los Angeles. Ni si quiera en Paris con tantas tiendas fue posible, ya sabéis lo difícil que es encontrar stock de lo que sea en las tiendas de allí, el stock vuela, mas si se trata de diseños mas antiguos. En L.A solo logré probarme los “Large Original” y el modelo “Traveler” pero mi modelo favorito no lo tenían. Mi única referencia fue internet y aún así es bastante difícil hacerse una idea de como sientan, si solo ves fotos de las gafas sin modelo! No entiendo porqué las tiendas hacen eso, ponen la foto de las gafas en varios ángulos pero sin modelo. Al final mi última opción fue buscar en Instagram con el hashtag #celinesunglasses y a partir de ahí ir buscando fotos de gente que las llevase puestas. Por supuesta habían bastantes, así que decidí arriesgarme y las pedí!
No se hace cuanto tiempo salieran las “Tailor” a la venta probablemente unos 5 años o más, junto con las Audrey son las gafas más antiguas y clásicas de Celine. Eso se traduce a que hay mas opciones de colores, aunque este diseño de carey en particular fue bastante difícil de encontrar. Pero como encontrar artículos específicos online es lo mío, acabé dando con ellas y ahora estoy encantada! Es un diseño súper clásico que casi me atrevo a garantizar le sienta bien a cualquier tipo de cara.

You know I can’t resist stripes…wherever they are! Well I came across this magnificent classic pool slides that remind me of my darling father that wore them back when I was a kid, an I had to have them! They are so cool, they can really brighten up any outfit and give it a nice fun touch! They are the almost twin sister of the Adilette, and though they are almost exactly the same I liked this ones better, they are of a softer material.At the end when worn you can’t tell the difference, and the whole point of this slides is to own a classic item than brings us back all our childhood memories, or at least that is what they mean to me.

Ya sabeis que no puedo resistirme a las prendas a rayas, sean lo que sean, así que cuando me tope con estas chanclas de piscina inmediatamente me recordaron a mi padre ! Cuando era pequeña el las llevaba, me trajo tantos recuerdos geniales que tenía que tenerlas, y aquí están! Son super divertidas, pueden iluminar cualquier conjunto y darle un toque fresco. Son las casi hermanas gemelas de las famosas Adilette, y aunque son casi iguales me decanté por estas ya que el material es un poco mas suave. Al final da absolutamente igual cual de las dos tenga, puestas no se puede notar la diferencia, y realmente la gracia de estas sandalias es el que son una prenda clásica que me transporta a mi infancia.

I was not expecting to find something for me in Dubrovnik, to be honest fashion wise, it has not much to offer, except for two stores (I will get into this in a few posts), one being MaxMara, and even though in general it’s a brand with great clothes I have never been specially drawn to it.
Since there were not much stores to look at, I went in, and to my surprise found a few things that I loved, some were from fall winter collection and other on sale from spring summer. At the end I purchased this one thing I really loved and had been searching for…and I will leave you to guess, what do you think I got?

La verdad no estaba esperando encontrar nada de ropa para mi en Dubrovnik, no tiene mucho en ese aspecto a excepción de dos tiendas (escribiré sobre ellas en un futuro). Una de ellas es MaxMara que aunque en general es una firma estupenda con ropa excepcional no es de mis favoritas.
Como no había muchas tiendas para mirar, entre y sorprendentemente encontré unas cuantas cosas que me encantaron. Algunas eran de la colección de otoño y otras de verano. Al final acabe comprando solo una cosa que realmente llamó mi atención y que estaba buscando desde hace bastante. Os dejaré adivinar, que es?
