I’ve been lusting over a few bags for a long time, one of them is this amazing beauty, the Lulu bag from Saint Laurent. I love the simple, clean design, with gold hardware and its slim rectangular shape. I don’t have a bag in this format, so this is what has been missing in my bag collection…well…and bags other than black and navy, but I guess I’ll solve that in the future.
I actually got this bag almost two months ago for my birthday but since I have been flying non stop from one country continent to another it has been almost impossible to do a proper reveal and actually get some use of her. I am very picky when I travel, I don’t like to fly to many bags in case luggage goes missing and all that…so finally it’s time to start bringing her out.

Llevo deseando unos cuantos bolsos hace un tiempo, uno de los cuales es esta belleza, Lulu de Saint Laurent. Me encanta su diseño limpio, simple con el metal en color dorado y su forma alargada. No tengo un bolso en este formato así que es justo lo que le faltaba a mi colección, bueno y bolsos en algún color que no sea negro o azul navy, pero ya me encargare en un futuro de solucionar ese tema.
La verdad es que tengo este bolso desde mi cumpleaños, hace casi dos meses pero como últimamente vivo volando entre continentes, me ha sido imposible tomarme un tiempo para hacer una introducción apropiada. Soy muy aprehensiva con mi equipaje cuando viajo, así que intento hacerlo con los menos bolsos posibles (en caso de robo o perdida de alguna maleta) por lo cual mantuve a Lulu a salvo un tiempo, pero ya es hora de sacarla de su bolsa.

For the longest time (you can see a post about it HERE), I have wanted to get myself this beautiful pair of classic black flats. They are a great alternative to my Chanel and very iconic piece that can be perfect with any outfit at any moment of time. Finally for spring I decided to go for them and I am so, so happy I did.
Spring is definitely the best time to buy flats, it’s still not sandal weather so you will wear them a lot, and after summer, you will go back to wearing them in fall, so why not invest on a new pair?

Hace bastante tiempo que le llevo echado el ojo a estas preciosas bailarinas clásicas de Chloé con su icónico y distintivo corte ondulado (podéis ver una entrada sobre ello AQUI). Me parecen una estupenda alternativa a mis bailarinas negras de Chanel, alternando entre las dos consigo un poco mas de variedad, estas aunque son igual de sobrias y versátiles dan un toque menos neutro y mas femenino.
Primavera es la época perfecta para invertir en unas bailarinas, aun queda para poder llevar sandalias, y una vez que ya se acabe el verano, volveremos a usarlas un montón en otoño, así que por que no invertir en un nuevo par?

New in: J.Crew leopard slides!
I bet you never thought you would see me wearing leopard print! Well, now you will! I have always had this love/hate relationship with animal print in general more especially with leopard. I like it only on a few garments, it is a classic print that has been used in clothing since forever, and it’s never in or out, just like everything I like, it is a permanent thing, think stripes or small polka. It is funny though how brands or magazines always try to sell classic prints like they are a trend, I just laugh so hard, either the person who is selling them has no real knowledge of fashion or either they are trying to sell it to people who are fashion clueless. Not good in any case.
I like only leopard prints with small spots. Usually I always end up going for the black or the navy before the leopard, but this time I had a totally different experience: I first saw these sandals on J.Crew’s magazine, and even though the outfit on the model was a little too much for my taste I just loved the way her footwear made a subtle statement. I though of possible combinations that would make a beautiful austere outfit, all black with these leopard slides, or black and grey…something in my line and it all seemed to work, so I decided to get out of my comfort zone a little bit and take the plunge!

Mi mas reciente adquisición sandalias en leopardo de J.Crew!
Seguro que no os esperabais esto de mi! Pero sí esta vez me he salido un poco de mi zona de comfort y me he aventurado a probar algo distinto. La verdad siempre he tenido esta relación de amor odio con el animal print, en concreto el leopardo. Me gusta, siempre me ha gustado porque es un estampado clásico que se lleva usando desde siempre, nunca es tendencia o deja de serlo, por mucho que lo vendan como tal. Pero la verdad es que la gente con mal gusto lleva abusando de este estampado, de la peor forma demasiado tiempo y eso es lo que me hace repelerlo un poco.
También debo reconocer que no me gusta cualquier leopard print, creo que tengo un ojo demasiado meticuloso y si no lleva los tonos de amarillo y marrón adecuado o si el tamaño de los círculos no es lo suficientemente pequeño me parece grotesco. Así que cual fue mi sorpresa cuando viendo el catálogo de J.Crew me encuentro con que me gustan estas sandalias! El conjunto de la modelo era bastante disperso, pero por alguna razón las sandalias se aislaban del conjunto y destacaban por si solas de una forma bastante intrigante. Así que fui a la tienda me las probé y jugué con opciones de combinaciones que podrían valerle como todo negro, o gris y blanco y la verdad me sorprendí con la versatilidad y lo bien que sientan!
