What I wore for Christmas Eve’s dinner.
I am in summer right now, so of course I wore something lighter but a little bit more formal without being too fancy or over the top because that is just not my style. I opted for my white midi skirt from MaxMara because it is a classic, versatile piece but also super lightweight and comfortable. I could have gone fancier on the top but that is just not me. I went with a classic shirt in a beautiful light blue color because it is simple and classic without being too formal or too casual. A fact too is that I am away from home and I don’t have all my clothes with me so options are limited for me here so I don’t have much too choose from either.
Still even though being a simple outfit it was a big success I don’t know why but this skirt turns head every time I wear it, I suspect it is it’s bright white color as opposed to a an ecru that might be less shocking, but of course since it is a simple, classic garments you can be sure it turns heads in a good way as opposed to some not so classic elements (sequins, wild prints, etc).

Hice estas fotos justo antes de la cena de noche buena, así podéis ver lo que lleve para la ocasión.
Como estoy en verano por supuesto lo lógico es usar algo fresco y ligero pero también al ser noche buena algo un poco mas formal pero a la vez simple, con lo cual este conjunto se ajusta a la perfección. Opté por mi falda blanca de MaxMara con su diseño clásico y versátil y lo más importante que es ligera y perfecta para el calor. Arriba en cambio opté por un básico atemporal de lo mas simple y casual pero que en conjunto con la falda queda mas formal que de costumbre, pero en su justa medida. Como estoy lejos de casa solo tengo una cierta cantidad de ropa por lo que tampoco tengo mucho de donde elegir y al final esta fue la mejor opción y la mas cómoda.
Aún siendo un conjunto muy simple fue todo un éxito, no sé porque esta falda siempre causa sensación me imagino que es su color blanco brillante que a diferencia de un blanco cálido o un crudo llama mas la atención, pero al ser una prenda simple y clásica puedo estar tranquila que se hace notar de buena forma al contrario de lo que pudiese pasar con elementos fuertes como lentejuelas o estampados recargados.

An all black summer outfit perfect for holidays as it is so comfortable and easy to wear. As you can see I am loving my Adidas slides so so much, they are the best footwear for those hot days when you will be walking a lot, plus combining them can’t be easier, so I am sure to be wearing these a lot next spring and summer. I can’t believe I am already thinking of spring, winter has barely started back home but being in the hot just makes me think of flowers, mild weather and slides.
Talking about our weather here, we were so lucky to have a cloudy day in all this heat I made the most of it wearing my pants, the only pair I brought since I don’t wear pants on summer but of course I had to travel in some so I went for black evidently, and I’m glad I did!

Un conjunto de verano todo negro, ideal para vacaciones porque es de lo más cómodo y fácil de usar. Como podéis ver estoy encantada con mis sandalias de Adidas no puedo dejar de usarlas, son sin duda el mejor calzado para esos días de calor en los cuales caminaremos un montón, pueden combinarse con lo que sea así que preveo que esta primavera y verano las usaré muchísimo. No puedo creer que ya este pensando en primavera, el invierno acaba de comenzar pero es el calor de Santiago que me nubla y me hace olvidar que volveré al frío invierno antes de pasar a primavera.
Hablando del tiempo, aproveché EL día nublado para ponerme mis pantalones, el único par que me traje ya que casi no uso pantalones en verano, pero con algo tenía que viajar, así que opte por el negro lógicamente y me alegro de haberlo hecho, me da campo para fluir bastante más que cualquier otro color.

One of my go-to summer dresses has been this striped one, since the day I got it (about 2.5 years now). It is as classic and versatile as it gets: sleeveless, striped and A shaped. It’s so easy to wear, it has always been a five minute thing to get ready with this one. I can wear it with anything in my closet, of course thats not hard to achieve in my case, all my items are black, navy, grey and stripes, but for someone not in that line I bet it’s just as easy. I have posted a number of entries with this dress, and so far you’ve seen me wear it with sneakers and flats, and today since it was so hot sandals was the only sane option.

Uno de mis vestidos mas socorridos en verano es este que llevo hoy, un clásico a rayas de Wood Wood. Me encanta porque es de lo más versátil lo que implica que lo puedo combinar con absolutamente todo en mi armario (en mi caso eso no es muy difícil ya que todo es negro, gris, navy o a rayas) pero para alguien con un gusto mas variado imagino tampoco sera un dilema. Tiene una forma muy neutra que hace que no sea demasiado maduro, ni formal, ni femenino, ni nada en particular lo que le da aún mas campo para jugar con distintas combinaciones. He actualizado un par de veces ya conjuntos con este vestido conjuntando de diferentes formas, hoy sin dudarlo la única opción era con sandalias ya que ha hecho un calor horrible.

First holiday outfit! As you can see weather is awesome here, nothing compared to back home! As you can see from my Instagram account where I am posting everything about my trip I have been going to a lot of awesome places, though today’s pictures are just set in a white background.
I finally can wear my adidas slides, I got them a couple of months ago when the weather was not very inviting but now Chile is perfect for them. I paired them with a very classic combination that you’ve seen me do thousands of times: basic shirt + black mini skirt, but then again it is a great combo that can be paired with almost any footwear and accessory and will always look good.

Primer conjunto de mis vacaciones! Como podéis ver el tiempo es estupendo por este lado del mundo, nada que ver con el frío en casa. Como habréis observado en mi cuenta de Instagram donde actualizo con todos los detalles de mi viaje he estado por varios sitios interesantes aunque para las fotos de hoy opte por el fondo mas simple posible.
Por fin puedo usar mis sandalias de Adidas que compré hace unos meses en Madrid, llevaba tiempo queriendo usarlas pero con el frío fue imposible, por suerte el tiempo en Santiago de Chile es perfecto! Las he combinado con un conjunto que me habréis visto usar mil veces: camisa básica + falda negra pero es que es lo más clásico y fácil de usar, y lo más importante es de lo más versátil, pega con cualquier calzado y con todos queda fenomenal lo que por supuesto se me hace irresistible.
