One of my must visit stores in L.A has to be Acne Studios. Unlike all the other stores in it’s category it is located downtown, which is very unusual, as all labels in its line have their stores in Melrose or Beverly Hills. This to me is a wonderful, fabulous move, because in first place it will bring more stores to this area (which lacks, luxury and contemporary shopping spaces) and because it says a lot about the labels identity, they are smart enough to stand out and make things differently.
I don’t need to explain my love for this brand, I am a faithful customer, and will continue to be, they have the best jeans, the best modern classics with a touch of unexpected every season, and are probably one of the most referenced brands, for high street labels, such as COS and the like.
The store is gorgeous, big but not huge, of course you can’t compare to the ones in Stockholm those are just breathless, but it does offer a wonderful minimal space with a big portion of the collection. The staff is super friendly, and even though I did not find my size in what I wanted, I would still rather do my shopping for Acne here as opposed to a department store.
If you are ever in L.A come take a look, you won’t be disappointed!

Another classic spring outfit. I know…I know…those sneakers again! But you know what, for a day spent DTLA you can understand why I choose comfort. Even though in L.A you do a lot of driving you also do a lot, and I mean a lot of walking, sometimes without being aware of it.
A few nights ago we went for dinner downtown, then to this party and we thought, well lets just walk from a place to another, it is not really that much a ten minute walk. I was in heels, and what seemed like ten minutes became more like twenty five, and I ended up with blisters in my feet for trying to be more healthy and athletic and just walk. After this I just really have gone for sneakers so many days in a row. Plus my talons still hurt. I really don’t like giving up walking so I have to give up heels for a while.

Otro conjunto clásico de primavera, y otra vez repito zapatillas. Pero sabeis que? Para un día en DTLA se entiende que escogiera estar cómoda sobre cualquier cosa. Aunque en L.A se conduce mucho, también se camina bastante, muchas veces sin darnos cuenta.
Hace un par de noches salimos por el centro primero a una cena y luego a una fiesta. Decidimos caminar de un sitio a otro ya que solo eran unos diez minutos andando. Llevaba tacones y esos diez minutos se convirtieron en casi media hora y para entonces tenia los talones rotos. Después de este incidente creo que prefiero ir en zapatillas cuando se que voy a caminar y como prefiero caminar a cualquier otro método de transporte entendéis porque no uso mucho tacón.

Pictures of two weeks ago, from Jil Sander Navy Spring Summer 2015 Presentation at Beverly Hills.
I have always been a Jil Sander (and Jil Sander Navy) fan. The label is one of those that is always keeping the same line, the same aesthetic updating details each season, but never changing the direction. I value that among all things in a person or label, or just in general, but of course that is not all of the appeal, the design is what really makes it stand out. Minimal, classic, in some garments sweet and feminine, in others neutral and masculine. Either way we are faced with versatility and soberness in every design. That as you well know, ranks high up in my book.
I was specially drawn to the bags, the white bags, there were like four models I was all about, one of those featured in the pictures above. As you can see above as well, basic dresses did not fail, perfect for any occasion. The color palette very neutral, with a couple of garments in electric blue, mustard yellow for those who are into color, but not excessively. Cool cat print in a couple of sweaters was also an unexpected surprise in a good way.

Fotos de hace un par de semanas en la presentación de la colección primavera verano 2015 de Jil Sander Navy en Beverly Hills.
Siempre he sido una gran admiradora de los diseños de Jil Sander (y Jil Sander Navy). Es de esas firmas que siempre siguen la misma línea, con una estética sobria y muy cuidada, pero que cada temporada se actualizan sutilmente, sin grandes cambios. La continuidad es de las cualidades que mas valoro en la estética de una persona y una firma aunque también es importante que el diseño sea simple, clásico y versátil. Jil Sander Navy tiene prendas dulces y femeninas y otras neutras y masculinas, pero de una forma u otra siempre sientan de maravilla y sirven para cualquier ocasión.
Especialmente me llamó la atención los bolsos blancos, podéis apreciar uno de ellos en las fotos que hice de aquel día. Los vestidos ideales, básicos y neutros perfectos para llevarlos con tacones de noche o zapatillas de día. La paleta de colores muy sobria pero sin ser aburrida, y sin discriminar a nadie, para quienes les guste el color unas cuantas prendas en azul eléctrico o amarillo mostaza. Tampoco faltó el estampado, aunque no había gran cantidad, sí que fue una agradable sorpresa encontrarme con un par de jerseys con gatos en toda la prenda.

A little less heat today, more of an early spring weather, which is awesome because we can rest from all the heat, and do some layering. I went for one of my favorite trousers in grey and combined it with a sweater in the same color. Underneath my striped shirt. I’m wearing my slip-on sneakers again, but really they are the best option for a day that involves a lot of walking, and lately I’ve been doing a lot of it!

Finalmente un día de menos calor, mas en línea con la época en la que estamos. Yo encantada, ya que me encanta el entretiempo, sobre todo comienzos de primavera. Esto permite jugar un poco con capas, por lo que opté por una camisa a rayas y sobre ella mi jersey gris oscuro en el mismo color que mis pantalones. Otra vez repito zapatillas, pero la verdad son la mejor opción para un día movido, que involucra caminar bastante.
