Today I’m happy to share with you this feature in Flair Belgium magazine. It’s a supplement in the February 25th 2015 issue, if any of you seem to live there you can purchase it!
The article is about different bloggers and their cities. I was asked to make a small guide of Madrid, meant for teenagers, as you know Flair is a magazine for teens, so everything in this guide is to be affordable and teen-friendly. As you know I love to do city guides, I travel a lot and as a meticulous person, I am very demanding when I travel, so I am always thrilled to help other people make the most of their trips, because…well, I love when people do the same for me.

Hoy estoy encantada de compartir con vosotras este pequeño artículo de la revista Flair de Bélgica. Es la edición del 25 de Febrero, en un suplemento especial sobre viajes.
El artículo trata sobre algunas bloggers y nuestras respectivas ciudades. Me pidieron que hiciera una guía de Madrid, especialmente dirigida a adolescentes, y chicas jóvenes, ya que como sabréis las lectoras de esta revista son en su mayoría teenagers. Como me encanta hacer guías de viajes, contentísima participe en este proyecto, tengo la suerte de viajar con frecuencia y me gusta ayudar a la personas a sacarle el mayor provecho a sus viajes, porque muchas veces es difícil pese a toda la información que hay, dar con los sitios adecuados para cada gusto.

Even though I love the Rodeo Drive/Beverly Hills area, it’s not my favorite to hang out, but it is probably the best area to shop in L.A, Melrose is also amazing but let’s face it, you get all the amazing brands with the most complete stock in Barney’s, Saks and Nordstrom, and that you can’t get anywhere else, so of course I had to pay a visit! We were also at Jil Sander Navy Spring 2015 Presentation (will upload next week with it) but in the meantime here are the outfit pictures of that day. As you can see, awesome weather never fails and I was able to wear what has become my new favorite garment ever this Isabel Marant midi skirt.

Aunque me encanta la zona de Rodeo Drive/Beverly Hills, no es mi favorita, aunque sí debo reconocer que es con diferencia la mejor zona para ir de compras en L.A, aunque Melrose también es estupenda, la mas completa siguiendo esta, con la mayor variedad de firmas y stock todo gracias a Barney’s, Saks y Nordstrom, así que por supuesto que fui a dar una vuelta por la zona. También aproveche a pasarme a la presentación de la nueva colección de Jil Sander Navy (fotos la próxima semana). En el intertanto os dejo con mi conjunto de aquel día. Con tiempo tan estupendo, me he olvidado del invierno y de la primavera y ya me siento en modo verano, y no hay nada que este deseando llevar más este verano que mi falda midi negra de Isabel Marant. Another of my favorites from LAFW is Sauri. I was really excited when I saw this collection because most designers were showing over the top clothes, and this however was down to earth. Wearable clothes in a dreamy color palette made out of neutrals, something I would definitely wear. The garments were all simple as you can see, and thought for every type of woman. I even loved the models, they matched the clothes so well, the aesthetic of the collection. Even the show was different than the rest, minimal clothes shown in a minimal space, that meant you focused on the garments and not on the show, that’s how it’s done in my opinion.
There were not so many looks, but I find this much better, specially when you are starting out, you should be ambitious but realistic, and that was refreshing. So many try to do more than they can take and that results in too much information and a repetitive idea, not good. Here the point is made with really good taste, because the way I see it taste is not only in the aesthetic but also in the way you do things, and that makes the true difference between one collection and the other, between one individual and another.

Otra de mis colecciones favoritas de LAFW fue esta de Sauri. Al ver esta colección quedé encantada! La mayoría de las colecciones que se mostraron en LAFW eran llamativas y exageradas en cambio esta destacó por su sobriedad y realismo. Prendas usables, en una paleta de colores perfecta, compuesta de colores neutros, ideal para el día a día de cualquier mujer. Hasta las modelos calzaban a la perfección con la estética de la ropa, inclusive el lugar donde se mostró la colección hacía que resaltara la apreciación por la colección, se cuidaron todos los detalles a la perfección y eso es algo importante y no muy común en diseñadores primerizos.
No fueron muchos conjuntos en esta colección pero en mi opinion es muchísimo mejor así, algo ambicioso pero con los pies en la tierra. Tantos diseñadores emergentes intentan abarcar mas de lo que pueden y eso se nota y resulta en una colección mucho menos interesante con demasiada información repetitiva que sobra. En este caso queda claro, lo que se quiere expresar, no hace falta mas y eso denota buen gusto, que a mi parecer es algo que no se encuentra solo en lo estético sino también en la forma que se hacen las cosas y eso diferencia a una colección de otra y a un individuo de otro.

Another beautiful but so hot day in L.A! It feels like a full summer so far, I jump from good weather, to good weather, and as it may seem wonderful, I’m not prepared! I have so little summer clothes, I struggle.
One of the things I have bought since I am here is the new t-shirt I am wearing in these pictures, a basic bright white, very light tee, perfect for this weather. I was in desperate need for one, as I only have an ivory colored one, and nothing in white. Perfect for L.A, the most soft t-shirt I’ve owned. So happy it comes in all neutral colors, because I might need it in all.
I am also wearing new slides, because I was so smart of leaving my other Adidas slides in Chile, you know that stuff happens, and when I tried looking for a replacement, I could not find the exact same model, this was the only option, but it’s fine though because it looks just like them, the difference bewteen the Duramo and the Adilette is almost nothing.
I don’t know if you noticed, but I have edited the website a little and now you can see the pictures bigger, so hopefully you will like this new feature! Let me know what you think!

Otro estupendo día en los L.A! Siento que llevo medio año en verano la verdad, paso de buen tiempo, a buen tiempo con pequeños intervalos de frío que pasan desapercibidos la verdad! Aunque parezca algo genial por otro lado es un problema ya que tengo muy poca ropa de verano.
Así que una de las primeras cosas que hice llegando aquí fue buscar básicos para este tiempo y lo primero fue centrarme en una camiseta básica blanca ya que la que tengo es color crema, y no siempre es la mejor opción. Fui directo a por la que me veis usando en estas fotos, es de T by Alexander Wang. Cualquiera que sepa de básicos y clásicos sabe que por excelencia es la marca conocida en hacer las camisetas básicas ideales para verano, la tela es ligerísima, y su diseño de cuello en V y un pequeño bolsillo, es inconfundible. Viene en todos los colores neutros y a veces en algún que otro de temporada, lo que es ideal ya que puede que la necesite en todos los disponibles!
También he tenido que comprar o mejor dicho re-comprar mis sandalias de Adidas ya que me dejé las mias en Chile! Me he enfadado conmigo misma, por no darme cuenta que se quedaban allí, pero por otro lado, de todo lo que se podría quedar, es lo más fácil y económico de remplazar. Lo único malo sí es que el mismo exacto modelo Duramo, no lo encontré por ningún sitio así que tuve que ir a por las Adilette. La verdad la diferencia es mínima así que da un poco igual.
No sé si os habréis dado cuenta pero a partir de hoy podréis ver las imágenes mas grandes, por fin he dado con la forma de hacer que está página resulte visualmente más atractiva, así que espero que os guste, aún me quedan detalles por ultimar, pero estoy abierta a sugerencias!
