When it comes to this particular store I have mixed feelings. On one hand Chanel is my favorite fashion brand in the whole universe, on the other hand I think this store is probably the worse Chanel store of them all. Why? I will tell you all about it.
When I say Chanel is my favorite fashion brand in the world I mean it, I really do. I have been a fan of Chanel ever since I was a teenager and the one big reason is what lies behind it. I identify myself with Chanel and I admire what they have done, it is classic, timeless, always in the same line, no matter how many twists and turns each collection has, no matter how much it evolves Chanel always stays on focus, it has this continuity that starts back in 1909 and that my friends is something hard to do. Now just because Chanel is my number one does not mean I am going to be a fan of every Chanel store in the world, unfortunately they are all very different from one another and from it’s original, flagship store in Paris.
Chanel Madrid store is very small (see picture) compared to all Chanel stores I’ve been to, and sadly the stock is limited as well. It is fine if you are looking for a classic pair of flats or for a classic medium flap, but if you are after seasonal items, then you are in for a disappointment. First of all the selection of items they bring each collection is sadly always the worse, and by that I mean the flashiest most adorned designs, loudest colors, etc. I was told each manager chooses what they “buy” for their store so the stock in a store highly depends on the manager’s tastes which here I am sorry to say is not very good. Besides that the seasonal items variety is terribly small. For my international readers if you are ever in Spain, Barcelona store is one hundred times better, bigger, more stock, more variety, everything!
Not everything is bad though, S.A’s are very nice and polite specially with men who are always a little lost, believe me my boyfriend is quite clueless and he has received great help and the most awesome customer service when going on his own.
Overall I would give it a 6.5/10 only because of the awful stock issues and size of the store.

Cuando hablamos de esta tienda en particular tengo sentimientos encontrados. Por una parte Chanel es mi firma de moda favorita y adoro to lo que hacen pero por otro creo que probablemente esta sea la peor tienda de Chanel de todas. Porque? Os lo voy a contar.
Llevo admirando Chanel desde que era una adolescente, no solo porque me gusten los diseños sino por lo que hay detrás de la firma. Me identifico completamente con los valores y la imagen de la marca: lo clásico, atemporal, siempre en la misma línea, no importa cuantas vueltas y enfoques den a sus colecciones no importa cuanto evolucionen nunca pierden su esencia, tienen esta continuidad que llevan arrastrando desde 1909 algo muy difícil de lograr ya que por mucho que existan casas antiguas han perdido por completo la imagen que tuvieron en sus comienzos. Ahora no porque Chanel sea mi número uno significa que voy a ser fan de cada una de sus tiendas, lamentablemente difieren mucho de unas a otras y sobre todo de su original, la primera tienda en Paris.
La tienda de Chanel en Madrid es pequeña (como podéis ver en la foto), y tristemente su stock es limitado. Si vais en busca de las clásicas bailarinas negras o el 2.55 mediano no tendréis problema pero cuando se trata de los items de temporada entonces la cosa cambia. La selección de items que traen cada de temporada son en mi opinión los menos deseables y a esto me refiero los mas recargados, en los colores mas estridentes y lo menos “usable” en general. Justamente un dependiente me dijo una vez que cada director/a de boutique escoge los items que van a vender en cada tienda, si esto es realmente así entonces cada tienda depende exclusivamente del gusto de su directora y en este caso no me parece muy acertado. Aparte de este inconveniente la selección de items de temporada también escasea bastante. Por eso para quienes estéis pensando en hacer una compra en España os recomiendo a ojos cerrados la tienda de Barcelona es mucho mas grande, tiene mas stock, la selección es impecable y hay mucho mas variedad!
Ahora bien no todo es malo en esta tienda, los dependientes son verdaderamente agradables y eficientes, especialmente con hombres que compran solos que a decir verdad siempre están un poco perdidos en el tema de colores, diseño, tamaños, a mi novio le han ayudado mas de una vez y ha quedado encantado con el servicio al cliente y yo como consecuencia!
En general le doy un 6.5/10 mas que nada por el tema de stock y variedad.
This is actually the second time I post an outfit with this overalls. I wore them last spring (you can see previous outfit HERE) for a day with similar temperatures and I was so comfortable. This is one of those special garments I have that can’t be worn THAT often because it is a very “memorable” garment so it works better in small dosis. The good part? Well I bet some of you wonder how you can give this garment completely different looks if you can only change the accessories. In cases like the one I advice give is: layering. As you can see from my first picture here, the overalls get transformed into trousers and they actually look like pants. For a colder fall I could add up a jacket and some boots and voila! Another totally different outfit.

Esta es la segunda vez que actualizo fotos usando este mono de A.P.C. La primavera pasada use un conjunto similar para un día mas menos de las mismas características. Esta es una de esas prendas que son especiales y memorables por ello no es aconsejable usarlas muy seguido para no quemarlas (visualmente). Es solo un pequeño inconveniente, pero lo positivo es que aunque penséis que esa misma razón hace que sea monótono o poco versátil os equivocáis. Esta prenda realmente da mucho de si, porque puede transformarse y la clave es solo una: capas. Como podéis ver en mi primera foto parece que llevase pantalones, algo que logre fácilmente con un jersey. Ahora bien mas avanzado el otoño otra forma de usarlo seria por ejemplo añadiendo una chaqueta/abrigo unos botines y voila! Otro conjunto completamente distinto.

Besides the wigs on the models, I am in love with everything in this collection. It is very feminine, grannish and childish at the same time, all characteristics I am drawn to in fashion. Remember how a couple of days ago I was telling you how big a fan I am of midi skirts? Well this collection focuses on mid length. Part of the coolness it exudes is because of how relaxed and comfortable this length really is, and it makes models look serene and happy while wearing the clothes that by themselves give the same feeling, you don’t even need to see them worn to get the comfortable and relaxed vibes. That doesn’t mean they are boring, they are all much more interesting because of the exact fact that they are not pretentious, more like a wear me instead of i’ll wear you (think Moschino last couple of collections).
Now Comme des Garçons is always under the radar no matter how awesome their collection and I think this is because this clothes are not for every woman. In theory yes, I am sure they intended for everyone to wear it, but not every woman want’s to go this road and wear these clothes. You have to be very sure of yourself and confident and careless to be in flowy midi skirts, WITH flats and socks, AND long sleeves AND blazers, all combined together.

Con la excepción de las pelucas que llevan estas modelos, estoy completamente enamorada de esta colección. Es muy femenina, infantil con un toque de abuela, todas características que me llaman la atención en la ropa. Os acordáis como hace un par de días escribía sobre las faldas midi? Pues bien esta colección se centra en ese largo. Parte de lo espectacular que es se debe a la comodidad y sensación de relax que este largo simboliza, lo que hace que las modelos a su vez parezcan felices y serenas usando estas prendas que por si solas, no hace falta verlas puestas emanan relajación y comodidad. Esto no significa que sean aburridas para nada, al contrario esto hace que esta colección sea mucho mas interesante por el hecho de que no es pretenciosa, es un llévame en vez de yo te llevo a ti (véase las últimas dos colecciones de Moschino).
Comme des Garçons considero que es de esas firmas cuyas colecciones suelen pasar bastante desapercibidas no importa lo fantásticas que sean, la verdad no suelen darles relevancia y creo que esto se debe simplemente a que su ropa no esta pensada para cualquier mujer. En teoría si, me imagino que la intención si es que lo llevase el mayor número de mujeres posible, pero esto no funciona porque no todas las mujeres quieren tomar ese camino, hay que ser una mujer muy segura y muy despreocupada para llevar una falda ancha a media pantorrilla con zapatos planos de cordones, con calcetines, con camisa ancha de manga larga y blazer ancho, todo combinado.
