First time posting an outfit with my relatively new dungarees. At first I was undecided as to if I should keep them, being an oversized model on my petite frame but after thinking and trying them on a few times I decided to. I already have a more fitting (but still big) pair of dungarees and a different version seemed like a fresh change. Plus there always is the comfort factor, they are so lightweight perfect for summer, and I can’t say no to a well made, versatile garment even if it fits a little big (90% of my clothes originally do) and there is always the option to get them altered.

Estreno mi nuevo peto de color marfil de la segunda línea MHL de Margaret Howell. Al comienzo estaba indecisa de si debería quedármelo, siendo un diseño oversize, en mi cuerpo menudo podría verse un tanto extraño, pero después de mucho pensarlo, y probármelo unas cuantas veces, decidí quedármelo. Tengo ya un modelo mas ajustado (aunque también me esta un pelín grande) y una versión un tanto distinta me parece un cambio acertado, además del factor comodidad. La tela es cómoda y fresca ideal para los meses cálidos, y la verdad es que no puedo decirle que no a una prenda bien hecha y versátil aunque me este un poco grande (originalmente el 90% de mi ropa me estaba grande y pude arreglarla sin problemas) y como digo modificar una prenda siempre es una opción.

I think i’ve mentioned it more that once, but I’m not a summer person at all. I don’t really like summer clothes, I don’t enjoy the excess of heat, and I definitely don’t need going to the beach as much. At least not in hot, hot weather. My ideal summer involves some rain, the countryside, everything deep green, a Barbour coat (i’m thinking northern Spain, Northern England, Ireland something like that) or wind, a lighthouse, sailing, and wearing a raincoat (thinking New England’s coast). Sometimes I do crave one week of doing nothing, just drinking coktails and swimming in the sea (Caribbean here), but that rarely happens.
These past few years though, I’ve been focusing summer holidays on getting to know places I have never been to, that are somewhat closer to me. Exploring Mediterranean islands has been a wonderful adventure so far, and I’ll be doing just that for one last summer, before a change of plans.

Creo que lo he mencionado mas de una vez, pero no soy una fan del verano. No me gusta mucho la ropa de verano, ni el exceso de calor, y definitivamente no necesito ir a la playa. Al menos no en los meses cálidos. Mi verano ideal sería con lluvia, en el campo, todo verde con un Barbour (norte de España, Reino Unido, Irlanda), o quizás un poco de viento, un faro, navegar y un chubasquero (la costa de Nueva Inglaterra). Hay veces que si me apetece una semana de no hacer nada bebiendo cocteles y nadando en el mar (estilo Caribe) pero es bastante raro en mi.
Este par de años he enfocado mis vacaciones de verano en conocer sitios en lo que nunca había estado que están en los alrededores. Explorar las islas del mediterráneo ha sido una aventura encantadora de momento, y este verano hare mas de lo mismo por una última vez antes de cambiar de planes.

Inspiration from one of my favorites: The Row, this time it’s Resort 2015.
What can I say about all this wonderful garments/looks? I am in love completely with the fabrics, color palette, cuts and of course the shoes. Brogues without socks are probably one of my favorite footwear options, specially if they’re done with mid length skirts or dresses, theres something about that nun-ish vibe that I deeply love. And of course the lack of color is perfect, neutrals all the way, this collection clearly shows you don’t need loudness to make a statement, but then again that is not particular of this collection, that is The Row.

Inspiración de una de mis firmas favoritas: The Row, esta vez de su colección resort 2015.
Que puedo decir de estas prendas tan perfectas y diseños increíbles? Estoy completamente enamorada de las telas, paleta de color, cortes y por supuesto el calzado. Los zapatos sin calcetines me encantan, especialmente cuando se conjuntan con un vestido/falda a media pantorrilla hay algo de ese aire de monja que tanto me encanta. Y por supuesto el que solo sean colores neutros es la perfección, esta colección claramente demuestra que no hace falta ser estridente para definir un estilo, pero este concepto no se aplica únicamente a esta colección es lo que resume The Row.
Today I’m wearing my favorite short sleeved tee my J’aime Rodarte t-shirt. I got it last fall in Los Angeles together with two matching sweatshirts, and so far best t-shirt I’ve ever had, worn, or even tried. The quality is superb, and though at first I thought I would wear them to run, I changed my mind. They are perfect for everyday, simple worry-free clothes.

Hoy llevo mi camiseta de manga corta favorita. La compre en Los Angeles el otoño pasado, con un par de sudaderas a juego y son las mejores que jamás he tenido y que jamás me haya probado. La calidad es superior a todo, y aunque en un comienzo pensé que las usaría para correr, cambié de parecer, estas prendas son perfectas para el día a día.
