I’ve been spending all of the weekends away this past month, because the heat is just terrible in Madrid, and the adventure is addictive, just driving and going anywhere, places we have never been to, or places we well now, it doesn’t matter because we always discover something new.
The outfits for this type of adventure are challenging specially if you don’t have a clear plan, but I am happy to be learning to dress accordingly. I am learning pants is always the best option and so are Birkenstock sandals. They are so resistant and good for any type of place I am by no means traveling without them.

Este verano he estado pasando todos los fines de semana fuera de Madrid, cogemos el coche y a veces viajamos con un plan pero otras veces vamos a la aventura, a sitios nuevos o que bien conocemos, da igual, la idea es aprovechar el verano hasta irnos por fin de vacaciones.
Cuando no se tiene un plan que llevar puede ser un desafío, poco a poco he ido aprendiendo a preparar una mini maleta para estas ocasiones y la verdad hay dos cosas que son claves. Una: llevar pantalones, faldas y vestidos no siempre son apropiadas, y dos un buen calzado todo terreno, para mi las Birkenstock han resultado ser indispensables, tanto que no vuelvo a viajar sin ellas.

For a day at the beach nothing beats a good pair of denim shorts. The ones I’m wearing I made from an old pair of jeans of my mom’s from the 90’s. I wear them every summer. I love a longer length it seems now a days all you see is really short shorts where you can see half the ass and that is so not my style. So the best way to go if you are in my situation and have a hard time finding the perfect denim shorts is to go make your own. And it’s free, and unique. Can’t beat that.

Para un día en la playa no hay nada mejor que un buen par de vaqueros cortos. Los que llevo los hice de un par de mi madre de los 90. Los uso cada verano hace unos años. Me encanta este largo, pero la verdad resulta difícil encontrarlo. Parece ser que al día de hoy solo existen pantalones micro cortos en los que se puede apreciar medio culo. Y eso no es mi estilo. Así que si os pasa como a mi que no os veis reflejadas en lo que veis en las tiendas vuestra mejor opción es haceros uno. Es gratis y exclusivo. No se me ocurre prenda mejor.
