My number one fashion resolution for this year is to wear more heels. Even if I don’t own as half many heels as flat shoes I am well aware of how elegant and classy they are, and how the suit every single woman. My main concern all this time has been comfort, but after spending a whole weekend in heels (I attended a wedding) I realized that by wearing a good pair of heels, and wearing me them a few days in a row, you can get used to them and actually do really well. So this I week, I was on it, I am so wearing more heels in my day to day. Not super high heels, but lets make them no more that 4 inch, and see how it goes. So here I am actually loving and enjoying wearing heels, because after all we are women, and some of the fun of it is wearing, makeup, bags and heels.

Para este año, mi resolución numero uno con respecto a la ropa ha sido usar mas tacones. La verdad no me estaba resultando del todo hasta el fin de semana pasado (después de una boda). En mi colección de calzado en comparación con zapatos planos los tacones probablemente serán como mucho un 10%, esto no quita claro, que sea consciente de los beneficios que van de la mano con llevar tacones ya que aportan elegancia y distinción de una forma que ninguna otra prenda puede hacerlo. Hasta ahora mi mayor preocupación había sido la comodidad, pero después de un fin de semana de boda aprendí que con un par de buenos tacones de calidad y con el diseño adecuado eso no es un problema, ya que el pie y en general el cuerpo se acostumbra a llevarlos después de unos días. Así que esta semana decidí incluirles en mis conjuntos a ver si con el tiempo ya no presentan un desafío para mi. Claro está que tampoco hay que pasarse, creo que diez centímetros son la altura ideal, mas que eso no lo veo muy claro. Así que aquí estoy disfrutando de verdad, de llevar tacones, que después de todo es de las cosas más divertidas de ser mujer (junto con llevar bolsos y maquillaje).

Nothing says in between weather like a trench coat. It’s the number garment I think of when spring comes to mind. It is one of those timeless classics that goes with anything you can think of and is always a good idea. I have worn mine so many times since I bought it I can’t even count. It was one of the best investments in regards to clothing I ever made. If you don’t have one I highly recommend you invest on a good quality trench coat, because these are guaranteed to last forever.
Today my outfit is a mix of classics (coming to think about it, most of my outfits are) but this one is a 50-50. I would have regularly worn this outfit with flats but today I was up to something different. Old classics as my trench coat or bag, and modern classics as my sneakers and little black dress .

Nada dice entre tiempo como una trenca. Es la primera prenda que se me viene a la cabeza cuando pienso en la primavera. Es uno de esos clásicos atemporales que va con todo nuestro armario y siempre acaba siendo una estupenda opción. Yo he usado mi trenca incontables veces desde que la compré y la considero una de las mejores inversiones que he hecho cuando se trata de ropa. Si aún no tenéis una os recomiendo buscar una de buena calidad ya que así os durará por siempre.
Hoy mi conjunto es una mezcla de clásicos, al final creo que todos mis conjuntos se basan en este método pero este en particular es 50-50. Normalmente usaría este conjunto con zapatos planos pero hoy me apetecía algo distinto. Combine clásicos de toda la vida como son la trenca o el bolso de Chanel, con clásicos modernos como mis zapatillas o vestido negro con cuero.

So this is basically what happens when you are in early spring stages and travel to early fall, you still have that cold fear factor you carry from winter and you can’t get rid off until late…very late spring. I went out like this thinking if it is good for spring it will be good for fall as well…right? Well guess what? I was completely wrong! It was perfectly fine for the early morning but after a couple of hours…not so much. The day became hot, more close to summer than anything else and I was forced to take my layers off little by little. Good that I was wearing a blouse underneath my sweater…sometimes it’s just a bra and if that had been the case, well I guess I would have suffered quite a bit.

Esto es lo que pasa cuando una se viste para comienzos de primavera (época que aún llevamos el miedo al frío arrastrando desde el invierno) a comienzos de otoño. Salí vestida con este conjunto por la mañana tan contenta pensando si es adecuado para primavera es adecuado para otoño…pues bien…grave error. La verdad en un comienzo si que estaba genial pero según pasaban las horas el día se transformó en algo mas parecido a verano que otra cosa y tuve que ir poco a poco…fuera capas! Por suerte que llevaba una blusa bajo el jersey, muchas veces voy solo con sujetador y de haber sido así no sé muy bien que hubiese sido de mi.

Now that cold weather is definitely here, its time to take our coats out, and I do it gradually. I don’t want to jump straight to thick coats or parkas because then what do I have left to wear when the real cold comes? Nothing. So for now this is the smartest choice. Now I love trench coats so I am always happy to wear mine, one of my most versatile, classic, timeless pieces and a must have in everyones wardrobe.
I wear black often, in fact I have lot’s of versions of black garments, and for today I chose my longest The Kooples trousers (if you take attention to details you’ll see I have two lengths of very similar trousers by the same brand) and paired it with my Converse sneakers because well I was feeling more casual and craving comfy. To finish my outfit my old and very worn and loved Prada bag.

Ahora que el frío ha llegado en definitiva, es tiempo de abrigos y yo intento ir poco a poco. No quiero empezar tan pronto con abrigos gruesos o parkas porque luego que me quedaría para invierno? Nada. Con este tiempo la elección mas acertada es sin duda un trench, es una prenda que me encanta y una de las más versátiles, clásicas y atemporales que existen, por supuesto un básico imprescindible para todos.
Como habréis podido observar voy de negro muy a menudo, de hecho tengo varias versiones en negro de la misma prenda en diferentes cortes, materiales, etc. Hoy llevo la versión mas larga de pantalón negro (tengo dos pares casi iguales en dos largos distintos uno tobillero y el otro de largo tradicional. Estos son los segundos. Me decante por unas zapatillas como calzado ya que me apetecía darle un toque mas informal al conjunto y por supuesto ir cómoda. Para el toque final mi adorado (y muy usado) bolso de Prada.
