Hermes is one of the leading luxury handbags brands out there, and it’s pretty obvious why. They have a huge number of bags all perfectly made with only the highest quality and the designs are all classic, perfect for every type of woman. This of course has translated in success and in a variety of iconic bags, probably more than any other label.
I have gathered some of the classics, and I say some because this is a brand where almost all of the bags are classics, and there are not so much new models, as new colors or new combinations of colors and textures.

Hermes es una de las marcas de accesorios de lujo líderes en el mercado, y es bastante obvio el porque. Tienen una gran cantidad de bolsos, todos perfectamente fabricados con la mas alta calidad. Los diseños son clásicos, perfectos para cualquier tipo de mujer sin importar la edad o los gustos. Esto por supuesto ha sido lo que ha marcado el éxito de la firma con una variedad de icónicos bolsos, probablemente mas que cualquier otra firma.
Me he centrado en alguno de los clásicos y digo alguno ya que esta firma es de las pocas donde casi todos sus bolsos son clásicos, no hay casi bolsos nuevos, lo nuevo esta en los colores, o combinaciones de colores y texturas.
The new Hermes bag were hard to find, I basically added the new models from the past five years, and as you can see there are not many, as in most labels. I quite like the Double Sense Tote but it reminds me of the Céline Cabas and the Etribelt bag which I also like a lot but again it reminds me of a Céline bag, this time the Edge. Have I become too much of a Céline fan, or do you see it too? The weird part is both of them were released after their Céline twins. I think I’ll stop the comparison because both brands are very different from one another, but in my opinion Hermes does do better classics than releasing new bags. What do you think?

Los bolsos nuevos de Hermes no son muchos, así que me concentré en los de los últimos cinco años. Me encanta el Double Sense Tote y el Etribelt, pero siento que se parecen mucho a los bolsos de Céline Cabas y Edge respectivamente. No sé si estaré demasiado obsesionada con bolsos de Céline últimamente o es que de verdad tienen algo pero sin duda es algo a tener en cuenta. En cualquier caso soy de la opinión de que Hermes debería centrarse en seguir añadiendo variedad a los clásicos en vez de sacar bolsos nuevos al mercado. Cual es vuestra opinión nuevos o clásicos?
So today a little sneak peak of whats to come next week, my guide to Santiago. It’s been a long time since I did the store of the week section but I’ve been so busy with work, and even though i’m right next to this store, I haven’t had time visit it. When I finally did…uuh…duh it was a Sunday! And of course it was closed. But good news is…i’m coming back to Santiago so so, soon! Even though it’s more of a work related trip, I wills have time to visit this store and tell you all about it, inside, stock, etc.
But in the meantime, how beautiful is it from the outside? So used to the old world stores, you see the modern version of them and you kind of don’t know which is prettier.

Hoy un pequeño adelanto de la entrada que estoy preparando para la semana que viene, una guía completa sobre Santiago de Chile. Hace bastante que no hacía esta sección (y hace bastante que no visitaba esta tienda) y es de las que mejor se me da, pero bueno aunque desde que llegue aquí mi intención siempre ha sido enseñaros el lado que ningún guía de viajes os va enseñar, las compras y la moda en una ciudad tan desligada a este tema como Santiago, estando tan cerca me ha sido imposible ir a esta tienda, y cuando finalmente tuve que ir, bueno era domingo y estaba cerrada! Así que me concentre en la fachada y como tendré que volver muy pronto, entonces os cuento que tal esta por dentro, el stock y todos los detalles.
De momento, bueno que os parece por fuera? Es extraño uno se acostumbra a las tiendas en Europa con ese encanto del viejo mundo, y cuando viajamos a U.S.A o al continente americano en general nos quedamos sorprendidos con el contraste y la diferencia arquitectónica.

In summer, with all the related activities such as going to the beach, the countryside, festivals and pool outings we end up getting extra careful with our usual luxurious leather bags, so what do we need? Ideally we would have a collection of summer bags, sand, sun and water proof, but that in my opinion takes years to build. Personally I am always drawn to black leather bags, so I never have given my full attention to summer bags, until a couple of years ago, when I understood the importance started traveling to the southern hemisphere to avoid part of our winter. With two summer’s a year, three last year (yes, i’m talking about L.A) I started my wishlist of classic, versatile and of course useful summer bags.
I still have a long way to go to build my ideal collection, but I am totally on it…and today I am sharing with you the gorgeous ladies that made it to my wishlist.

En verano, con todas las actividades características como ir a la playa, el campo, festivales y piscina acabamos por llevar con extra cuidado nuestros bolsos de cuero que honestamente no son lo mas apropiado. Idealmente todas deberíamos tener una colección de bolsos de verano a prueba de arena y agua, pero una buena colección tarda años en acumularse. Personalmente siempre me decanto por los bolsos negros de cuero por lo que nunca había prestado especial atención a los bolsos de verano hasta hace un par de años cuando entendí la importancia empece a viajar al otro hemisferio en nuestro invierno y acabé por tener dos veranos al año, y el pasado año tres (por L.A) comencé a elaborar mi wishlist de bolsos clásicos y versátiles para el verano.
Aun tengo mucho camino por correr para tener la colección que me gustaría pero estoy en ello. De momento comparto con vosotros mis bolsos favoritos para este verano.
