As much as I love the clothes here, my problem with this collection, and the brand really, is the unoriginality they keep facing. Once again a big proportion of this collection looks like a copy of a past collection, this time from The Row. I love The Row, and I follow all their collections (as you can see on this blog) so it’s very easy for me to recognize this issue. I have a big problem with copies so this disappoints me quite a bit, but on the other hand if you can recognize The Row that easily here, it says a lot about the label, and how much they have risen as iconic to be imitated this way.

Por mucho que me gusten las prendas de esta colección, tengo un grave problema con ella y es la poca originalidad de la marca. Otra vez la gran mayoría de la colección parece una gran copia, esta vez de The Row. Me encanta The Row, sigo cada una de sus colecciones (como claramente podéis ver en este blog) y me es muy fácil reconocer su sello. Me molesta mucho cuando marcas se copian unas a otras, es una gran desilusión darse cuenta la poca creatividad que hay en la industria. Por otro lado si vale mencionar que si es tan fácil reconocer los elementos de The Row en otras marcas es porque se han convertido en una de las firmas líderes y mas icónicas en el mundo de la moda.

When I first saw this collection, the first thing I thought was: hmmm…it looks a little too much like Céline! Not current Céline more like last year, or three four collections back. Even thou it has amazing pieces, nice color palette, cool textures, and all of the interesting ingredients, I feel there is a little too much Céline in it. If you pay close attention most of the not so iconic brands, end up looking either like The Row or Céline when trying to do minimal. Am I the only one who has noticed this or do any of you see it too?

Cuando vi esta colección por primera vez lo primero que pensé fue: hmmm…demasiado parecida a Céline! No a la actual colección de primavera de Céline mas bien a unas dos o tres colecciones atrás. Aun cuando esta colección incluye prendas estupendas, una paleta de color ideal, texturas divertidas y todos los demás ingredientes siento que hay demasiado de Céline en ella. Si prestáis gran atención veréis que todas las colecciones de marcas que no son muy icónicas cuando intentan hacer el rollo minimalista acaban pareciéndose de sobremanera o a The Row o a Céline. No sé si soy la única que lo ha notado o alguien mas lo ve? Cual es vuestra opinion?
