Monochrome navy outfit. It actually has some grey, but since it is a charcoal grey it looks kind of navy too. We had nice weather this weekend, a little milder so no socks again! Won’t last long I bet.

Conjunto monocromatico navy. La verdad los vaqueros son gris carbón pero al tener este tono tan homogéneo tiende a pasar por navy en ocasiones. Como este fin de semana fue menos frío pude salir sin calcetines por el día sin problemas.

Spring and fall are my favorites, and fashion-wise what they are all about is purchasing core items, for the season. Leave winter and summer, for those not so essential garments that you can get on sale, and focus to start with the basics.
One of my dream things for spring (and fall) has always been khakis as are chinos for summer. Now Gap has always been known to make the best khakis around, for ages, and really even if you looked for in designer brands, you will see they are hard to find. Sometimes A.P.C does similar, sometimes MHL, but I don’t have any store close to me, and khakis are another of those garments, you need to try first.
Combined with a basic t-shirt and some sneakers, my perfect spring outfit.

La primavera y el otoño son mis estaciones favoritas, y en lo que se refiere a moda es el momento perfecto para comprar los básicos necesarios para la temporada. Todo lo que sea mas capricho y menos esencial es conveniente dejarlo para el invierno o el verano cuando son las rebajas.
Una prenda que llevo deseando hace años para entretiempo es un par de khakis, y para verano unos chinos. Gap siempre ha sido conocido por hacer los mejores, desde siempre, y es curioso que aunque se intente buscar en marcas menos masivas y mas exclusivas cuesta encontrarlos. Hay veces que A.P.C o MHL sacan algo similar, pero no es lo mismo y sin duda viviendo en España no hay forma que pueda acceder a probarlos, la única opción sería online. Y unos khakis, bueno yo no me los compraba sin probarlos.
Combinados con una camiseta básica y unas zapatillas, tenemos en mi opinion el perfecto conjunto para primavera!

Today pictures come from an Iphone 5S so sorry about the lower quality, but they were taken the day when I was transitioning from camera x to camera y and so therefore my only available option for pictures was my phone.
Another version of my summer uniform, striped t-shirt and denim boy shorts. A longer pair of shorts that happen to be altered by me, from an old pair of jeans my mom no longer wears. I’m always looking out for my mom’s old clothes since we have similar taste, similar body and complexion. If something worked for her then, it most likely will work for me now, so whenever she’s ready to give something to charity I do one last inspection for something that might be good for me and this pair of jeans…(now shorts) was just the case.

Las fotos de hoy fueron hechas con la cámara de un Iphone 5S así que siento si la calidad un tanto inferior a lo usual no es lo ideal. No tuve alternativa ese día ya que estaba haciendo mi transición de una cámara a otra y me vi con mi móvil como única alternativa.
Otra versión de mi uniforme de verano: pantalones cortos (no muy cortos), camiseta a rayas y zapatillas blancas. Estos pantalones los hice yo a partir de unos vaqueros viejos de mi madre (calculo que finales de los noventa). Siempre estoy pendiente de lo que mi madre ya no usa, como tenemos gusto, talla y complexión muy similar, si algo la valía a mi madre en aquella época lo mas probable que ahora me valga a mi. Pues bien este fue el caso con estos shorts, que llevo usando mas de un año como si fueran nuevos!

Colder weather is here to stay this time, so I have to go a step further in the layering. Leather jackets are one of my favorite outer garments and a much lighter option than coats when weather is not that cold yet. They are an essential on everyones outfit, and by leather jackets I mean real leather, so if you don’t have one yet I must advice to invest on a good one. There are so many options and variations of leather jackets that once you have your first, there is no stopping and it becomes a second level essential to get more of them in different colors, cuts, types of leather, color of hardware, etc. At the end no matter if you have one or ten you will end up wearing them like crazy, because let’s face it , it’s level of versatility, functionality and the timeless factors wins over almost any other outer garment.

El frio esta vez ha llegado para quedarse, así que hay que dar un paso mas cuando hablamos de capas. Las cazadoras de cuero son una de mis prendas de abrigo favoritas y una opción un tanto mas ligera que algunos abrigos, lo que las hace ideales para el entretiempo. Son un básico en el armario de cualquier persona por lo que si aún no tenéis una, recomiendo invertir en esta prenda que vais a usar infinitas veces. Hoy en día hay mil tipos de cazadoras de cuero (hablo de cuero de verdad, imprescindible que no sea imitación!) con variaciones en colores, cortes, tipos de piel, etc por lo que hay para todos los gustos, tipo de cuerpos y presupuestos. Cuando ya compras una creo que es inevitable que se vuelva una especie de adicción y al final acabemos buscando mas, la oferta es tan amplia que tenerla en todas sus variaciones al menos para mi acaba siendo necesario. En cualquier caso con una o con diez acabareis usándola/s todas muchísimo ya que su funcionalidad, versatilidad y lo atemporal supera con creces a casi cualquier otra prenda de abrigo.
