In Porto once again. Wearing a black and white classic ensemble: jeans and a t-shirt. I love my white jeans to death because they are so easy to wear and can be combined one thousand ways, I find it pairs well with every single top in my closet and this particular day I decided to wear it with my old basic black t-shirt, in contrast the feminine, fancier touch is given by the accessories. A great idea for classic but eclectic look is to pair something old with something feminine and fancy.

Otro día en Oporto. Esta vez llevo un conjunto clásico compuesto de vaqueros blancos y camiseta negra. Me encantan estos vaqueros ya que son muy fáciles de usar y pueden conjuntarse de mil formas, combinan de maravilla con todas las prendas de mi armario. Esta vez he decidido combinarlo con mi camiseta negra desgastada y en contraste mis sandalias planas con lazo que dan un toque femenino junto con el bolso. Una buena idea para darle una variante ecléctica a un conjunto clásico sin perder la coherencia es mezclar una prenda desgastada y neutra con una femenina y elegante.

At Porto. This is my favorite city in Portugal, really, it’s just amazing. Such a complete place, you have city combined with beaches, port, and a magnificent river, you really can’t ask for more. This is probably the one time I wore a mini dress in all summer. I had already worn all of the clothes in my suitcase, some garments even twice so for the last day in Portugal I wore my black mini dress. Since it was windy that morning I wore it with my denim jacket, my star purchase this summer.

En Oporto. Después de visitar Portugal al completo, si me tengo que quedar con una ciudad es Oporto (o Porto). Es completa y maravillosa, de una belleza inigualable. Es ciudad, pero también tiene playas y un puerto y el Duero con sus callejuelas y restaurantes a cada lado hacen que sea perfecta y muy animada. Esta fue la última parada antes de volver a España para la boda que tuvimos en Galicia y como ya había usado absolutamente toda la ropa en mi maleta para el último día me puse este mini vestido negro. Ha sido la única vez en todo el verano que me puse un vestido corto, sin duda prefiero la elegancia de los largos, pero por cambiar no me pareció mala opción. Como hizo viento por la mañana lo combine con mi cazadora vaquera, mi mejor inversión este verano.

One of my favorite places in all Portugal starting from the outside going all the way in, is this amazing museum: Museu Coleçao Berardo. Best modern art you can imagine, and the outside simply speaks for itself. This hot day we toured Lisbon completely, we walked for miles and miles. I knew the plans ahead so I wore what I though would be perfect: my black midi skirt with my white t-shirt. Since I had worn my sandals over and over the previous days I decided to go for slippers, which are quite comfortable. And at first it was fine. The problem is no shoe ever is made for Lisbon’s slippery floors specially when walking up and down it’s curvy hills. The only option becomes sneakers. I seriously don’t know how woman do it there when they want to wear pretty footwear, specially heels. At the end of the day I was twice as tired as my boyfriend from all the extra effort I did to not slip and fall.

Uno de mis lugares favoritos de todo Portugal es este maravilloso museo: Museu Coleçao Berardo. Una excelente colección de arte moderno, con una variedad inimaginable, y que puedo decir del exterior, habla por si mismo. Aquel día tan caluroso lo destinamos a visitar Lisboa por completo, caminamos kilómetros y kilómetros. Ya sabía los planes con antelación y escogí mi conjunto pensando que seria lo mas adecuado para un día de ciudad: falda midi negra y camiseta blanca combinados con slippers negras. En un comienzo pensé en llevar sandalias pero durante toda nuestra estadía en el algarve no hice mas que repetirlas así que preferí la alternativa: zapatos. Error de principiante. Al ser mi primera vez en Lisboa desconocía el drama del suelo. La verdad mi conjunto era perfecto para la ocasión excepto por el detalle del calzado. Aprendí que no hay calzado adecuado para Lisboa a no ser por las zapatillas. Y tampoco te aseguras nada. Vi mas de un turista resbalar llevando zapatillas así que ya pasa de ser un tema de calzado a ser un tema urbanístico. Al final del día acabe el doble de cansada que mi novio de tanto mirar al suelo e intentar no caerme.

Our hotel is in Sintra, Lisbon was magic. It’s hard to capture its beauty and it’s uniqueness in pictures, it’s the experience of living there for a few days that really speaks for itself. Here I am in the outdoor breakfast area. All white with amazing views. I am wearing an all black, loose ensemble very lightweight, perfect for summer.

En nuestro hotel de Sintra en Lisboa. No tengo palabras ni creo que se pueda apreciar bien en fotos la magia de este sitio y como su arquitectura y decoración única se manifiestan. La única forma de sentirlo es viviendo unos días allí, es una experiencia diferente. Las fotos están hechas en la zona de desayuno al aire libre. Las vistas son excepcionales, naturaleza por donde se mire. Llevo un conjunto todo negro, ancho y ligero, muy cómodo ideal para el calor veraniego.
