Spring 2014: Outfit 32

Today was a really cold day, more like winter. It is a nice change to have days like this, I was getting tired of the warm days we were having. I finally switched sunglasses for a change and took my old Marc Jacobs cat-eyes for a spin. I don’t know why I feel so much more comfortable in my classic wayfarers, I guess because they are as neutral as it gets, and that allows more room for matching with any outfit, but today I was just craving a change. I also took my old Prada bag out, I had forgotten how much I love her.

I’m wearing: Marc Jacobs sunglasses, Sandro sweater, Topshop pants, Burberry trench, Valentino heels and Prada bag.

As you can see today…I AM WEARING HIGH HEELS! And if you have been following this blog you know how much I love mid-heels but also how little I wear high heels! It’s not that I don’t like high heels, actually I do, the thing is I love flats so much more. So between both I always end up buying the mid-heeled/flat version. Unfortunately whenever I needed/wanted to wear heels I was left with almost nothing so part of this year’s resolution is to invest more on heels.

This particular gorgeous pair of heels had my eye since last pre-fall collection starting popping up online, and lucky for me I got the chance to get my hands on them a few months ago. They are a taller (4 inch) slightly different version of the Tan-go shoes I own by Valentino. I loved mine so much I knew that I was not stopping at one pair!

I’m wearing: Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses, Equipment sloane sweater, Etoile Isabel Marant skirt, Valentino heels and Chanel bag.

Today was really windy and cold so I did not go bare legs as I usually do. Instead I wore my sheer black tights, that I love so much. In between seasons this type of tights are usually a wonderful option because they can keep you warm, but not too much as thicker tights do, and they add a nice touch to outfits, so definitely this tights are part of my spring essentials. Most of my tights are by Wolford, they have the best quality and are worth the extra price. Another great alternative are tights by Falke, but at least here in Spain I have not seen them around so the best option is to shop them online.

I’m wearing: Ray-Ban classic wayfarers, mom’s old turtleneck, The Kooples skirt and coat, Valentino Tan-go pumps and Reed Krakoff bag worn as clutch.

Valentino Tango PumpsMy newest shoes: Valentino tango pumps.

Those of you who follow me on Pinterest might know the love i’ve had for these shoes ever since they came out a year ago. I fell in love with this perfect pair of shoes at first sight. To me they are the most beautiful shoes ever made, let me tell you why: the heel is perfect in heigh and in it’s square shape, they are made of my favorite material for shoes ( patent ), and the detail that makes them so special: the ankle wrist.  They were impossible to track down, not even in the Valentino boutiques, so I had to wait a whole year to finally get them, finally here they are!

Now I can only say good things about them, though I have only worn them once, they are so comfortable and of course the versatility of this type of shoes has no name, wear them forever with whatever. Now I am thinking of adding the higher heeled version to my very small high heel’s collection, I have yet to decide on the color.
