Dubrovnik outfit number three! For dinner out in Old City I wore a very classic ME look. All navy and white sneakers, but if you have ever been to Dubrovnik you know heels are not an option with the slippery stone floor, and endless stairs. I was smart enough to read a bunch of forums on the topic an everyone gave the same advice: NO HEELS.

Mi tercer conjunto para Dubrovnik! Para cenar en Old City algo clásico en mi. Todo azul navy con un toque blanco en las zapatillas. Si habéis estado en Dubrovnik sabréis de sobra que no es sitio para llevar tacones. Entre el suelo resbaladizo de piedra y sus interminables escaleras empinadas, no hay un solo lugar donde sea una buena idea llevarlos. La verdad tuve surte de averiguar con tiempo este dato, en todas partes las mujeres daban el mismo consejo: NO LLEVAR TACONES.

It’s so hot right now, going out in anything but shorts and sandals seems unbearable! Today i’m wearing one of my very old A.P.C shirts. Probably from 2011 or 2012, but I just love it, the shape is just perfect! It’s so hard to find a wider but shorter classic shirt, I find they make them extremely long and in my opinion that is not very flattering, it shortens the figure. The best part of this shirt though is the color, a mix of blue and purple, something like a dark lavender maybe? I’m not sure how to classify it, I think it really depends on the light, but I just love it!

Already, we are having summer weather here in Madrid (even though it’s raining right now). It has been so hot lately I was forced to slip in my summer clothes, today i’m wearing one of my favorite summer dresses. Stripes of course! Classic, and so easy to wear. I love the shape of this dress (which wasn’t originally this length, another of my alterations) this type of round neck sleeveless garments are so perfect, the fit almost everyone and make arms look nicer. The wideness of this dress makes it so comfortable and free to move in, and of course it allows your skin to breathe something we all thank for during hot months. In general I see so many advantages on this dress that of course I would suggest it, to anyone.
Unfortunately it is from last summer so it’s no longer available, but I have a few similar suggestions for you.
-THIS DRESS by Fred Perry is lovely, short sleeved but with a similar shape.
-THIS DRESS is virtually a copy of mine, instead of navy stripes it has black stripes. No offense, but of course I would never buy this dress, it completely goes against my main principle when shopping, less quantity and more quality. But if you don’t care about quality and want something disposable, go ahead.
-THIS DRESS by Marc by Marc Jacobs is gorgeous and has a beautiful shape, again similar to mine somewhat more rigid and structured, with lovely light blue stripes. You can find more cute blue prom dresses online.

I wore it so much last summer and during Christmas holidays in South America and certainly will keep wearing it this summer. Same goes for my white Superga sneakers that might need to be replaced very soon.
My late-spring/early-summer go-to outfit. Long sleeved shirt with shorts. The shirt I am wearing today is hands down my favorite long sleeved shirt. I have said before how big a fan I am of striped tops, well after that my heart belongs to basic striped shirts. They are a nice, fun alternative to a white shirt, (a subtle print always is) and can be worn with absolutely anything. I got mine last fall on my trip to L.A at J Crew and it has been one of my favorite garments ever since!
Now this exact same shirt is no longer available (it is part of the 2013 fall collection), but since this style “the boy shirt” is a classic on J Crew that keeps being reinvented every season a very very similar one (slightly darker print) is available for purchase HERE.
