Another day in stripes! This dress is a relatively new purchase, it’s very similar to T by Alexander Wang dress I got last year, but this one has thinner stripes and is of a softer cotton, and lighter for summer. I know I can’t stope with striped shirts and dresses, but I end up wearing them so much that it’s always a good buy for me. It doesn’t help that whenever I plan to get something with stripes (my friend Omar who has the same addiction) is there either in person or virtually to tell me “yesss of course, totally get it and i’ll get something to match it as well” and there we go two BFF looking like twins in stripes and navy. So I guess ill just keep adding up, at the end of the day there is nothing better than wearing what feels truly you!

    Trini, I need to admit you are my hair inspiration as I have been considering to chop mine off. What’s the history of your haircut? Was it inspired by someone?
    As always, I also admire your lipstick – it changes a woman’s face. What lipstick are you using?

    Love the thin stripes — they look more slimming than wide stripes. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect striped dress and this could be it! It looks like a mini length on you — did you shorten it?

    Yes I did! I have someone who does all the alterations for me because even XS is too big :(
    I highly recommend you get it, it is super soft perfect for summer!

    I’ve been eyeing it up online for a while I’m probably the same heigh/size as you and not sure what size to order.

    No problem! I got it in Theory’s P which is equivalent to XS. I got it shortened though because it is really long and unflattering if you are not tall.

    Hey Marlena! I chopped my hair back in 2010 before the whole bob trend started, and the story behind it not much…I had always been a long haired girl and by long I mean really really long, and I wanted a change, I wanted a short bob but didn’t get the courage to cut it. My main inspiration BTW was Winona Ryder in House of The Spirits movie. So I asked a friend to photoshop a picture of me with the haircut I wanted, then I tried tucking it in and took pictures with this supposed short hair and sent it to friends and family to see their reaction. Everyone loved it, so I made my hair into a ponytail and cut it myself with one clean cut. Later I went to the hairdresser to have her polish the cut. I knew I had to cut it that very moment or I would have second thoughts so that’s why I cut it myself. After cutting it i’ve never ever regretted it and I would never go back to long hair.
    My advice…Cut it! Nothing bad can come out of it, worst scenario you wont like it, but at this length hair grows so so fast, that by fall you will have it shoulder length.
