A day of wonderful weather in the middle of fall. It is unbelievable how hot this month has been and how eager it makes me for the real autumn to start. I am wearing my super versatile long sleeve black top, with jeans and flats. As casual and comfortable as it gets, perfect for a day running around doing errands and some shopping in the city.

Un día con una temperatura estupenda, poco común para tan entrado el otoño. Es increíble lo caluroso que ha sido este mes y las ganas que tengo de que comience de una vez el otoño de verdad. Hoy llevo mi top de manga larga negro, muy versátil y apto para cualquier ocasión, combinado con vaqueros y bailarinas. Un conjunto cómodo y casual perfecto para un día de mucho caminar, haciendo recados y compras en la ciudad.

Pictures from our visit to Burgo de Osma, a wonderful place, full of history. It was a cold day, started off with a rainy morning, and then a cold noon and rest of the day. Since this region is always a few degrees colder than Madrid I was prepared wearing a coat and boots, although underneath I had a light sweater. I like to increase (or decrease on spring) gradually with layers because I find if I start heavy on them now, I will end having nothing left to add when the real cold comes, around Christmas time here in Madrid. I wore my countryside jeans, I think I have mentioned before how I have a few cheap pairs (from Topshop) for when we go to the countryside in case they get spoiled, since that day we were based on Riaza these jeans were what I had, although I have to admit I love how they look with the rest of the outfit.
I think I will make a countryside wardrobe edit very soon, because for the past few years it has become part of my life and I personally was very lost on what to wear when I first started spending the weekends at my boyfriend’s family farm house.

Fotos hechas en nuestra visita a Burgo de Osma, un pueblo maravilloso, lleno de historia. Hizo un día frío, comenzó con una mañana lluviosa, y luego un tarde fría. Ya que en esta región siempre suele haber unos grados menos que en Madrid me adelanté llevando un abrigo y botas, aunque debajo tuviese un suéter ligero. Me gusta aumentar (o disminuir en primavera) gradualmente las capas, porque siento que si comienzo abrigándome por completo ahora, acabaré por quedarme sin nada mas que añadir para cuando el verdadero frío comience. Aquel día llevé mis vaqueros “de campo” como yo los he apodado, creo que he mencionado antes como tengo unos pares de batalla (de Topshop) para cuando vamos al campo en caso de que se me estropeen con tanta actividad de exteriores. Aquel día veníamos de la finca y estos vaqueros eran lo que yo tenía, aunque debo admitir que por muy de batalla que sean me gusta como quedan en el conjunto.
Siento que debo hacer una entrada sobre vestuario campestre próximamente, ya que en estos últimos años los fines de semana en el campo han formado parte de mi vida, y personalmente cuando comencé a ir a la finca de los padres de mi novio en Riaza, estaba muy perdida sobre que llevar y que ponerme, de hecho aun lo estoy pero menos que antes, y mi formula para afrontar la vida rural ha sido crear un armario paralelo con ropa adecuada para este entorno.

One of the best, easiest, yet more sophisticated combinations ever has to be jeans and a white shirt. Depending on the accessories and shades of the garments in questions, it can fit a wide range of styles and personalities, and at the end this essential combination escapes nobody. I wear it very often, in all it’s variations, with different accessories and in all four seasons. And every year I try to at least add one white shirt to my collection, with a different shape and cut, because I know how much I will end up wearing it. Today I am wearing this combination with navy velvet shoes and my new satin bag.

Una de mis combinaciones de ropa favoritas, fácil de llevar, simple pero sofisticada, consiste de unos vaqueros y una camisa blanca. Dependiendo de los accesorios y tono de las prendas en cuestión, puede resultar muy diferente y adaptarse a una amplia gama de estilos y personalidades, lo que hace que este combo sea apto para todo el mundo. Para mi, es una formula muy socorrida, la uso en todas sus variaantes, con diferentes accesorios y en cada época del año. Anualmente intento agregar por lo menos una camisa blanca a mi colección, con una forma y un corte diferente de las que ya tengo, y así poder jugar con formas y texturas ya que el color, no es lo mío. Hoy llevo esta combinación con zapatos de terciopelo azul marino y mi nuevo bolso negro.
