At Coimbra. I loved this city. It is not very big but it is really charming and full of history. Out of all the cities in Portugal I visited I would say this was the hardest to walk in, it didn’t help that I wore shoes instead of sneakers. I was not aware of how steep the streets towards the university wear, and anyone visiting this city must see the university it is really something else. I wore an all black ensemble (though my jeans are a dark grey I guess they can be mistaken for black) a loose sleeveless top and skinny jeans paired with black embellished slippers. Bottom line if you are reading this and are ever visiting Coimbra, please wear sneakers.

En Coimbra. Me encantó esta ciudad. No es muy grande pero es realmente maravillosa y llena de historia. De todas las ciudades que visite en Portugal esta fue sin dudarlo la mas difícil de caminar. No ayudó que llevase zapatos en vez de zapatillas pero la verdad es que no estaba al tanto de lo empinado y resbaladizo que es el camino que lleva a la universidad, y quien visite esta ciudad debería sin dudarlo visitarla, es realmente impresionante. Aquel día lleve un conjunto negro (aunque mis vaqueros son técnicamente gris oscuro habitualmente pasan por negros) un top suelto sin mangas y unos vaqueros pitillo, combinados con slippers negras con un broche. Un conjunto simple a la vez que especial pero poco apropiado para subir cuestas empedradas.

In Porto once again. Wearing a black and white classic ensemble: jeans and a t-shirt. I love my white jeans to death because they are so easy to wear and can be combined one thousand ways, I find it pairs well with every single top in my closet and this particular day I decided to wear it with my old basic black t-shirt, in contrast the feminine, fancier touch is given by the accessories. A great idea for classic but eclectic look is to pair something old with something feminine and fancy.

Otro día en Oporto. Esta vez llevo un conjunto clásico compuesto de vaqueros blancos y camiseta negra. Me encantan estos vaqueros ya que son muy fáciles de usar y pueden conjuntarse de mil formas, combinan de maravilla con todas las prendas de mi armario. Esta vez he decidido combinarlo con mi camiseta negra desgastada y en contraste mis sandalias planas con lazo que dan un toque femenino junto con el bolso. Una buena idea para darle una variante ecléctica a un conjunto clásico sin perder la coherencia es mezclar una prenda desgastada y neutra con una femenina y elegante.

At Porto. This is my favorite city in Portugal, really, it’s just amazing. Such a complete place, you have city combined with beaches, port, and a magnificent river, you really can’t ask for more. This is probably the one time I wore a mini dress in all summer. I had already worn all of the clothes in my suitcase, some garments even twice so for the last day in Portugal I wore my black mini dress. Since it was windy that morning I wore it with my denim jacket, my star purchase this summer.

En Oporto. Después de visitar Portugal al completo, si me tengo que quedar con una ciudad es Oporto (o Porto). Es completa y maravillosa, de una belleza inigualable. Es ciudad, pero también tiene playas y un puerto y el Duero con sus callejuelas y restaurantes a cada lado hacen que sea perfecta y muy animada. Esta fue la última parada antes de volver a España para la boda que tuvimos en Galicia y como ya había usado absolutamente toda la ropa en mi maleta para el último día me puse este mini vestido negro. Ha sido la única vez en todo el verano que me puse un vestido corto, sin duda prefiero la elegancia de los largos, pero por cambiar no me pareció mala opción. Como hizo viento por la mañana lo combine con mi cazadora vaquera, mi mejor inversión este verano.

All grey outfit. Wore this outfit the day we did all the driving all the way to Sagres, Portugal. These have to be my eldest (eleven years) and most comfortable jeans. They are the perfect travel garment and even though they are ancient, they are still in great condition. I combined them with my grey t-shirt, because I felt like doing monochrome that day, plus it’s comfortable as well.

Conjunto gris con detalles en negro y color oro. Aquel día fue el día que cruzamos medio país hasta llegar a Portugal (Sagres). Estos deben de ser mis vaqueros mas antiguos (once años) y mas cómodos, por esta razón son perfectos para viajar. Los uso habitualmente para este tipo de ocasión en la que la comodidad es prioridad. Combine mis vaqueros con una camiseta básica del mismo color y accesorios negros.
