Last Stockholm outfit! I can’t believe I spent the first day of summer with such low temperature, but now that it’s so hot back home I kind of wish I was there! Four days shown around by one of my best friends, a semi-local with almost the same tastes as me gave me a pretty awesome idea of the best places to eat, shop, visit while you are there. I really wish to go back soon so I can see more, a long weekend just gives you time to see the basics but there is so much more to this amazing city!

I’m wearing: Ray-Ban sunglasses (GET THEM HERE), Gap sweatshirt, Acne Studios jeans (GET THEM HERE), The Kooples blazer, Superga sneakers (GET THEM HERE) and Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola bag.

More pictures from lovely Stockholm! In this pictures im in Södermalm, one of my favorite neighborhoods in this city, I was going to say my favorite, but to be honest my favorite is Norrmalm.

When I visit a city the aesthetic of the street and buildings is what captures my interest the most and Stockholm would have a ten in architecture, it’s just breathless. The thing about this city is it is just so elegant, and posh, and clean, to be honest it’s not just in the city it is in almost everything swedish. Locals, when it comes to outfits could be described with the same words, and of course the local fashion brands represent that aesthetic to perfection as well. Yes of course i’m talking about Acne Studios, Filippa K or Hope. As my sister said, it’s like Paris but cleaner. And in a way I think it is.

It was cold though, the whole four days I was there, I kept thinking my friends in the Southern Hemisphere were probably warmer than me, but I was happy to go back to layering and warmer clothes, I do better dressing for in between seasons than summer that’s for sure.

I’m wearing: Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses (GET THEM HERE) , Petit Bateau raincoat via, Topshop dungarees, Club Monaco shirt, Sandro sweater, Superga sneakers (GET THEM HERE) and Anya Hindmarch Bathurst bag (GET IT HERE).

Closet Swap: Summer 2014 Swimwear

Trini swimwear selection summer 2014

Today’s post is part of a campaign called “Closet Swap” by a new platform where you can buy gift cards to your favorite brands at a discounted price, and sell your unused gift cards for cash! From Forever21 to Kohl’s, they have gift cards to meet all your fashion needs. The campaign is about transitioning our wardrobe into summer attire, and to me nothing screams more summer than swimwear!

Well aware of the complications of finding a suitable piece for summer, every year I make an edit on my favorite pieces for the season, and this year is no exception. In my opinion one should always invest in swimwear. Why? well the importance of quality in intimate garments rises above all, you don’t want cheap material in contact with the most sensitive parts of your body.

This said let’s start talking about all this wonderful pieces!

1, 3 and 4 are Tooshie for A.P.C. Tooshie every year makes a few pieces of swimwear for french brand A.P.C in a sober and feminine line that matches the brand aesthetic to perfection and this year I am completely fascinated by every single one of them. I could not choose between their black one piece with gold stripes, or the blue one piece with white coffee bean print so I added both. I am also fascinated with their white bikini with thin gold stripes in case you are not a fan of one pieces then maybe this one is more suitable for you.

2. Marysia scalloped top one piece: This brand just got on my radar this year and I instantly fell in love with all of their collection. They play a lot with scallops and ruffles that add a different vibe to a standard swimsuit. GET IT HERE.

5 and 6 are J.Crew. I love their printed swimwear pieces, they have a wide range of wild prints and more sober and classic ones like these two. The retro bikini shape is just lovely, perfect for us girls who are not fans of the standard bikinis you find everywhere that show a little too much and can be somewhat tacky. GET THE BIKINI HERE AND ONE PIECE HERE.
