I’m updating really late today because I had a very busy day! My friend Omar came to visit from Stockholm so I spent the day with him. It was such an awfully hot day it’s unbearable, can’t wait for cooler days!
I’m wearing: Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses (get them HERE), Liberty for J.Crew shirt, American Apparel skirt, A.P.C wedges and Reed Krakoff bag (get it HERE).
Today I’m delighted to diverge a little bit from fashion and get into a topic than I enjoy so so much and probably never shared over here. Books.
My love for books started at the very early age of four when I learnt how to read. Yes, I was a very precocious girl, always with hunger for adventures and books were my first journey. All through my childhood, specially during the summer me and my sister would beg my parents to buy us books so we could devour them at night before going to sleep and then exchange them, then ask for more and more and more. The rest of the year I would read what was scheduled for me to read at school, some books I enjoyed greatly others not so much…but the sole act of reading meant to travel to a new world and that has always been one of my drives in life.
So each summer as I did as a kid I get my books ready to come with me wherever I might go. I want to share with you some of my favorites and would love for you to do the same, that way we can exchange titles and hopefully I can get to know some new titles/authors which I am also eager to do.
Lately I have become more of a non fiction reader so many of my titles will come from that category, but of course not all, some fiction is always good.
-The House of The Spirits by Isabel Allende
-Quiet by Susan Cain
-Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote
-The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides
-The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides
-Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert
-All Those Things We Never Said by Marc Levy
-The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
-What Remains by Carole Radziwill (currently reading and loving this one)
- Just Kids by Patti Smith
-Be My Baby by Ronnie Spector
There you go, ten…no eleven awesome books. Let me know which ones are your favorites!
On picture: Chanel flats and Marc Jacobs sunglasses.
Old outfit pictures from over a month ago. I’m wearing all my staples: classic stripes, white Supergas and LV Coppola bag. I went sort of hiking that day, not a real hike or I would have not gone wearing this. We went to see this old house in ruins you can see as background. I love it because it’s believed to be haunted, and I love those type of mystic stories.
Wearing: Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses (get them Here), Play Comme des Garçons t-shirt (get it Here), Superga sneakers (get them Here) and Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola bag.
Another day in stripes! This dress is a relatively new purchase, it’s very similar to T by Alexander Wang dress I got last year, but this one has thinner stripes and is of a softer cotton, and lighter for summer. I know I can’t stope with striped shirts and dresses, but I end up wearing them so much that it’s always a good buy for me. It doesn’t help that whenever I plan to get something with stripes (my friend Omar who has the same addiction) is there either in person or virtually to tell me “yesss of course, totally get it and i’ll get something to match it as well” and there we go two BFF looking like twins in stripes and navy. So I guess ill just keep adding up, at the end of the day there is nothing better than wearing what feels truly you!
I’m wearing: Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses (get them Here), Theory striped dress (get it Here), A.P.C Roma sandals (get them Here) and Celine trio bag in navy.
