How I wear: LBD Little Black Dress

I decided to start doing a few new things in my blog. One of them is the one garment, three ways (or four: one for each season). Also I came up with the idea of making a summary of my staples, how I wear them and where you can get similar items. Since the weather has been so hot lately, lets start with something you can wear all year long, but that I have been wearing a lot in hot days.

So for today: how I wear my LBD Little Black Dress in hot weather.

1.- I styled my white collar LBD by Sandro with black Chanel flats and my Chanel flap again. For a similar dress I found this one by Boutique by Jaeger that you can SHOP HERE.

2.- I styled my skater LBD by The Kooples with beige Chanel flats and my Chanel flap. For a similar dress this one by Free People is quite close and you can GET IT HERE.

3.- I styled my knee length LBD by Gap with Robert Clergerie heels and yet again my Chanel flap. I found an almost identical dress by Topshop that you can SHOP HERE and a classic pair of heels for a fraction of the price by Topshop too. GET THEM HERE.

For a black chain bag in the line of my Chanel check this bag by Whistles, it’s gorgeous at a much much lower price. SHOP IT HERE.

Spring 2014: Outfit 42

I have received lately some emails asking me what to wear for X or Y event. Well what I am wearing today is what I would suggest any women (no matter the age, hair color or figure) to wear for a semi-formal/special event.

As you know i’m a big fan of the LBD (little black dress), and even if this one is not so little, more of a mid-length I am still a big fan in general of black dresses. Investing in black dresses is always smarter over any other color, because they are:

1.- less noticed

2.- more versatile

3.- elegant above most colors

4.- classic pieces that will last forever (with a few exceptions of course).

Now if you don’t have the biggest budget to splurge thats ok because there are affordable options out there, one of which is this actual dress i’m wearing. It’s probably one of the less expensive garments I own but it also probably is one with the highest potential. So please don’t ever think you need loads of money to dress good, you just need to shop smart, that is the only secret, really.

I won’t even start about how many ways you can wear it, but when I have a few outfits posted with this same dress I will make a review of how to wear a black dress so you can get some ideas.

I’m wearing: Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses, Gap dress, Robert Clergerie heels and Chanel bag.
