Yet again, another hot day in Madrid. Fall is missing and we are all scared we will jump from summer to winter without any in between weather, which happens to be my favorite. If I new we would have such a long summer I would have invested more in summer clothes this year, I am running out of possible combinations, and I am by no means buying anything else at this moment, I already started my fall-winter shopping. Today I am wearing classic skinny jeans, another year-round essential with flat sandals and a loose black top.

Una vez más, otro día caluroso en Madrid. El otoño sigue brillando por su ausencia y todos estamos un poco asustados de que pasemos de verano a invierno sin nada de entretiempo, para poder ir lentamente preparándonos. Es una pena, porque me encanta el entretiempo. Si hubiese sabido que el verano sería tan largo, hubiese invertido en mas prendas de verano, se me están acabando las posibles combinaciones con la poca ropa que tengo, y la verdad no veo adecuado comprar mas cosas a estas alturas del año, cuando ya estoy bien avanzada invirtiendo en básicos para este otoño-invierno. En fin, hoy llevo unos vaqueros pitillos, otra prenda indispensable para todo el año, combinada con sandalias planas y un top negro ancho.

Officially fall has arrived, but in reality temperatures are still very high here, so there is no other option but to keep wearing summer clothes. Here I am in Riaza once again because we have been going almost every weekend, making the most of the last few days of good weather. Wearing my flared frayed charcoal jeans, I wear them a lot when we go to the countryside cause they are my least expensive pair of jeans and I really don’t mind that much if something happens to them. Since we do a lot of outdoors activities there is a big chance they could get dirty, and these are very easy to wash. These have been labeled by me as my “countryside jeans” and they are always my best option here. I paired them with a loose sleeveless top perfect for these hot days, and for comfort my ballet flats.

Oficialmente el otoño ha llegado, pero las temperaturas aun siguen altas así que no queda mas remedio que seguir en modo verano con ropa ligera. Otra vez las fotos son en Riaza, vamos casi todos los fines de semana, más con este buen tiempo que da para hacer muchas actividades que luego con el frío no podemos hacer. Llevo mis vaqueros gris oscuro cortados por mi, que son mis “vaqueros de la finca” porque son los mas económicos y fáciles de lavar con lo cual puedo hacer lo que quiera con ellos, que me da igual que se ensucien o les pase algo, además de que son muy cómodos, claro. Los combine con un top muy ligero, mi favorito para verano y mis bailarinas negras, muy cómodas y fáciles de combinar.

At Coimbra. I loved this city. It is not very big but it is really charming and full of history. Out of all the cities in Portugal I visited I would say this was the hardest to walk in, it didn’t help that I wore shoes instead of sneakers. I was not aware of how steep the streets towards the university wear, and anyone visiting this city must see the university it is really something else. I wore an all black ensemble (though my jeans are a dark grey I guess they can be mistaken for black) a loose sleeveless top and skinny jeans paired with black embellished slippers. Bottom line if you are reading this and are ever visiting Coimbra, please wear sneakers.

En Coimbra. Me encantó esta ciudad. No es muy grande pero es realmente maravillosa y llena de historia. De todas las ciudades que visite en Portugal esta fue sin dudarlo la mas difícil de caminar. No ayudó que llevase zapatos en vez de zapatillas pero la verdad es que no estaba al tanto de lo empinado y resbaladizo que es el camino que lleva a la universidad, y quien visite esta ciudad debería sin dudarlo visitarla, es realmente impresionante. Aquel día lleve un conjunto negro (aunque mis vaqueros son técnicamente gris oscuro habitualmente pasan por negros) un top suelto sin mangas y unos vaqueros pitillo, combinados con slippers negras con un broche. Un conjunto simple a la vez que especial pero poco apropiado para subir cuestas empedradas.
