So I am finally wearing this beautiful white midi skirt I got at MaxMara store in Dubrovnik. I completely fell in love with it at first sight, it is super versatile, the material is thick so no see through but it is also fresh for summer, and it’s machine wash…like 1% of my clothes…finally something that I can wash at home! Since white color gets dirty easily this factor in my opinion is major when talking about light clothing. Besides all this, the design is classic, no weird cuts, no trendy shape, just a classic mid length skirt that can be worn forever, and even though it’s a summer garment it can transition easily to fall paired with knitwear, and can be worn in spring as well. It can also adjust to any situation, from daywear to night, from casual to formal, I can see how any office woman could actually wear it to, so many reason for loving it.

Esta falda es la que compré en la tienda de MaxMara en Dubrovnik hace un mes. Me enamoré a primera vista de ella, es versátil, no se transparenta ya que el material es grueso pero fresco a la vez, y es de lavado a maquina, tristemente como el 1% de mi ropa, pero se agradece algo que finalmente pueda lavar en casa! Como el color blanco tiende a ensuciarse rápido y con frecuencia es prioritario que se pueda lavar a máquina (sentido común) al menos en mi opinión. Además de todo esto el diseño clásico me encanta, no tiene cortes ni formas extrañas que son tendencia fugaz y luego quedan ridículas, al contrario este diseño es atemporal. Otro factor importante es como puede pasar de verano a otoño solo con añadirle un punto grueso, así mismo podría empezar a usarse en primavera no es algo exclusivo de verano. También puede adaptarse a cualquier situación, de día a noche, de casual a formal, incluso para las que trabajáis en oficina tiene muchísimas posibilidades.

This skirt I doubt is available anywhere now, since it’s from the SS 2014 collection, but for similar white skirts my recommendations are:

Today’s outfit is all shades of blue. We have light blue on my shirt, classic denim blue on my skirt and navy blue on my bag. Since blue is my favorite color, I have a nice collection of blue garments in almost all shades available so it’s only natural for me that I end up wearing them all together. Today my outfit is more on the lighter side, but I definitely do all blue outfits in an overall darker shade.
Since its summer and it’s so hot, I paired my outfit with my old, very worn but much loved white Superga, they are my “summer sneakers” I take them to the beach, wear them on the city, on the countryside, everywhere I go I end up taking them with me. Unfortunately they are not the best option for winter, so I need to find myself a pair for colder days.

Hoy llevo varios tonos de azul. Tenemos un azul muy claro en mi camisa, el clásico azul vaquero en mi falda y azul navy en mi bolso. Ya que el azul es mi color favorito tengo una buena colección de prendas en este color en casi toda la gama que este color permite así que es bastante lógico que acabase combinándolos entre si. Hoy mi conjunto esta mas inclinado a tonos azul claro pero usualmente voy mas por el lado oscuro de este color.
Al ser verano y por el calor he combinado el conjunto azul con mis Superga que la verdad están bastante viejas e usadas pero es que me encantan y son ideales para los meses de calor. Al ser tan versátiles se pueden llevar a la playa, al campo, y por supuesto usarlas en la ciudad y en cualquier ocasión van perfectamente. Desafortunadamente al ser de tela un tanto delgada no son la mejor opción para el invierno, por lo que tendré que buscarme unas sustitutas para los meses fríos.

Dubrovnik outfit number three! For dinner out in Old City I wore a very classic ME look. All navy and white sneakers, but if you have ever been to Dubrovnik you know heels are not an option with the slippery stone floor, and endless stairs. I was smart enough to read a bunch of forums on the topic an everyone gave the same advice: NO HEELS.

Mi tercer conjunto para Dubrovnik! Para cenar en Old City algo clásico en mi. Todo azul navy con un toque blanco en las zapatillas. Si habéis estado en Dubrovnik sabréis de sobra que no es sitio para llevar tacones. Entre el suelo resbaladizo de piedra y sus interminables escaleras empinadas, no hay un solo lugar donde sea una buena idea llevarlos. La verdad tuve surte de averiguar con tiempo este dato, en todas partes las mujeres daban el mismo consejo: NO LLEVAR TACONES.

My good old striped summer dress. It’s not so old, actually its from last summer, but ever since I got it, I have been wearing it non stop, a thousand different ways: with flats, sneakers, wedges, etc.
Today’s outfit is based on comfort so I paired my dress with sneakers, of course my favorite pair: my white Supergas.

Mi adorado viejo vestido de verano. En realidad no es tan antiguo, solo es del verano pasado, pero desde que lo tengo no he dejado de usarlo de mil formas distintas: con bailarinas, zapatillas, cuñas, etc.
