Today pictures come from an Iphone 5S so sorry about the lower quality, but they were taken the day when I was transitioning from camera x to camera y and so therefore my only available option for pictures was my phone.
Another version of my summer uniform, striped t-shirt and denim boy shorts. A longer pair of shorts that happen to be altered by me, from an old pair of jeans my mom no longer wears. I’m always looking out for my mom’s old clothes since we have similar taste, similar body and complexion. If something worked for her then, it most likely will work for me now, so whenever she’s ready to give something to charity I do one last inspection for something that might be good for me and this pair of jeans…(now shorts) was just the case.

Las fotos de hoy fueron hechas con la cámara de un Iphone 5S así que siento si la calidad un tanto inferior a lo usual no es lo ideal. No tuve alternativa ese día ya que estaba haciendo mi transición de una cámara a otra y me vi con mi móvil como única alternativa.
Otra versión de mi uniforme de verano: pantalones cortos (no muy cortos), camiseta a rayas y zapatillas blancas. Estos pantalones los hice yo a partir de unos vaqueros viejos de mi madre (calculo que finales de los noventa). Siempre estoy pendiente de lo que mi madre ya no usa, como tenemos gusto, talla y complexión muy similar, si algo la valía a mi madre en aquella época lo mas probable que ahora me valga a mi. Pues bien este fue el caso con estos shorts, que llevo usando mas de un año como si fueran nuevos!

Outfit pictures taken inside a very characteristic building from Santiago, Correos. I am not fond of inside pictures, but thought this was a nice way of showing you a nice inside that is beyond classic, it’s antique and keeps that aesthetic, even in the postal boxes, they are beyond cute.
Had to make them quick, so again not so much details in these. I did wear a very casual summer outfit with a relatively new tee, I got it in L.A at Kitson thats not the new part, it’s somewhat new because it’s the first time im posting an outfit wearing it. It’s one of those garments I always take when I travel I don’t really know why, I just do. So another casual summer outfit for everyday.

Estas fotos las hicimos dentro de un edificio emblemático de Santiago de Chile que personalmente me encanta: la sede central de Correos. Aunque a mi personalmente no me gusta mucho hacer las fotos en interiores creo que este si vale la pena, aunque tuve o intente evitar ciertas zonas por el decorado navideño.
Tuve que hacer la fotos rápidamente, no sé bien si esta permitido pero por si a caso, intente que fuera algo corto. Llevo una camiseta relativamente nueva, en el fondo nueva no es la compré en L.A en Kitson pero no tenía fotos con ella así que para temas del blog si que es algo nuevo. No sé bien porqué pero siempre acabo por llevarla cuando viajo, quizás por lo cómoda y neutra que es. Así que otra vez un conjunto veraniego.

What I wore on NYE.
This is how we do the last celebration of the year where its hot and sunny. Little black dress, some heels and voila! No coats, no tights, and yes…sunglasses.
Now let me tell you about this gorgeous dress. It’s two years old and the case is I have worn it a lot, unfortunately I have not a single picture of me wearing it, so in this occasion I had to have my picture taken, even if they were quick ones before dinner. This dress to me is the perfect, perfect LBD. It has all the elements. It’s classy, it has a sexy touch with strong ladylike feel, also it’s very minimalist in a 90’s kind of way. Sharon Stone maybe? I would call it Audrey Hepburn meets Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Anyhow, it just blew my mind the moment I tried it on, so of course it had to be mine. It is my go to, “fancier” but not too fancy dress, and honestly the easiest of all my dresses to wear. It even looks amazing with sneakers and flats. All I have left to say is thank you Filippa K for making such an amazing dress!

Mi conjunto para noche vieja.
Esto es lo que llevamos en el otro lado del mundo para celebrar la última noche del año. Vestido, tacones y ya! Y gafas claro porque hasta bien entrada la noche que no se pone el sol.
Ahora explicaré la historia tras este vestido. En realidad es bastante antiguo (dos años) y la verdad es que lo uso un montón. No sé porque hasta ahora no tenía foto alguna usándolo, pero esta vez lo vi necesario con todo el tema festivo y de vestidos muy propio de esta época del año. Aunque no me dio tiempo de muchas fotos, hice algunas rápidas antes de cenar.
Para mí este es el LBD perfecto. Tiene todos elementos que yo personalmente busco en esta prenda. Es clásico, elegante (pero no demasiado), tiene un toque sexy por llamarlo de alguna forma aunque odio con todo mi ser esta palabra, pero a la vez es muy femenino y de estilo minimalista pero evocando a los noventa. No se si es a Sharon Stone a quien me recuerda, pero he decidido etiquetarlo como mitad Audrey Hepburn, mitad Carolyn Bessette Kennedy (dos de mis favoritas). De cualquier forma, este vestido fue de esas prendas que al probarme, adoré. Se ha convertido en EL vestido para ocasiones que requieren algo un poco mas especial sin ser demasiado especial. Además de ser una opción genial para llevar con tacones, con zapatillas o bailarinas queda igual de bien, otra razón mas que tuve para comprarlo. Solo me queda dar las gracias a Filippa K por hacer un vestido tan perfecto!

Last outfit post of the year!
To me summer as winter is always a struggle. I feel most comfortable in mild weather clothes. You might think this is the most frequent case, but I have found most people or at least most people I know feel at their best with summer clothes. Why? I guess some women are pretentious and like to show their body off, or maybe they are just practical as men and like to carry the lesser possible clothes. Some people may just be victims of the climate they live in and may be sick of a ten month long winter and a summer like most of the worlds spring and may just be eager for a change, but whatever the reason for me it is a matter of just being able to feel the more myself that I can.
Most of my “summer” tops are long sleeved, more suitable for spring or fall, even though most of my bottoms are short or lightweight long so most suitable for summer, and at the end that mix is what makes it better for me to be in a year long average temperature which is of course impossible. At the end I wear long sleeved sweatshirts in summer, short skirts with bare legs in winter against what is expected but that is just MY WAY.
So when I went out with this sweatshirt I was looked at more than once with an horror face of what the hell is a sane person doing in a sweatshirt on a 30ºC day? Well I think I as well as becoming inmune to cold on my legs have become inmune to heat in my arms/chest or I am so comfortable happy in my outfit that I just don’t feel it. Of course this is a light sweatshirt but…a short sleeved shirt was more suitable.
I think this topic is a good one for debate and even for study, and I could go on forever so I am just gonna leave it here.

Para mi el verano como el invierno es una lucha constante, aunque odio un poco menos el verano que el invierno al final el caso es que me siento mas cómoda con ropa de entretiempo. Quizás se crea de que es lo mas común pero he descubierto que la mayoría de la gente o al menos de la gente que yo conozco se sienten mas cómodos con ropa de verano. Por que? Puede que sea porque las mujeres solemos ser pretensiosas y nos gusta enseñar mas, o quizás es por un tema práctico de llevar menos bultos o puede ser que para mucha gente sea víctima del clima de su país/ciudad y estén cansados de un invierno interminable y de un par de meses menos fríos que se asemejan mas a los comienzos de primavera del resto del mundo. La verdad no lo sé, pero cual sea la razón para mi es que necesito sentirme lo mas yo posible.
La mayoría de mis tops de “verano” son de manga larga, bastante mas adecuados para primavera y otoño, la mayoría de mis partes de abajo son cortas o largas pero de tela delgada mas apropiadas para el verano, así que mi época perfecta es el entretiempo cuando puedo mezclar la mayoría de mi ropa y un año de primavera u otoño interminable sería lo ideal, pero lógicamente eso es imposible. Al final acabo usando mangas largas en verano y faldas cortas en invierno en contra de lo lógico pero así soy yo, y esta es mi forma de mi vestir.
Así que cuando salí a la calle con este conjunto más de alguien me miró con cara de horror, seguramente pensando a quien se le ocurre llevar sudadera en un día de 30ºC? Creo que de la misma forma que me he vuelto inmune al frío en las piernas me he vuelto inmune al calor en la parte superior de mi cuerpo o simplemente voy tan feliz y contenta con mi ropa que se me olvida el calor. También hay que decirlo, es una sudadera ligera, pero…una camiseta de manga corta seria mucho mas apropiada.
Creo que este tema es fascinante y da para mucho y podría seguir hablando de el hasta el infinito y ese no es el plan, así que lo dejo aquí.
