Another sunny fall day, but don’t let the sun fool you, it is cold, we can now say coat weather is officially here. It’s funny how we never had sweater weather, we jumped from wearing shirts to coats in a day. Today I am wearing white jeans with everything else in black. I love white for the colder months, it’s tricky, a little unexpected but I find it so elegant. Giving a pop of white in fall can make any outfit stand out, even if it isn’t trendy, it can be classic and fun at the time.

Otro día soleado de otoño, pero no debemos engañarnos por mucho sol que haya, también es un día frío y por fin podemos decir que la temporada de abrigos ya está aquí. Es curioso cómo nunca tuvimos un clima de jersey, pasamos de usar camisas a abrigos en un día. Hoy llevo vaqueros blancos y todo lo demás en negro. Me encanta el blanco para los meses más fríos, es complicado, un poco inesperado, pero muy elegante. Dar un toque de blanco en el otoño o invierno puede hacer que cualquier conjunto destaque, por muy simple que sea, puede ser clásico y divertido a la vez.

At Cuellar, one of the places we visited last weekend. Since this region is much colder than Madrid I had to take a turtleneck and coat with me. It was sunny, but windy and cold. I wore my grey maxi coat which I love because it has a 90’s vibe, with straight jeans which also have a bit of a 90’s vibe to them. For the cold I only own one pair of shoes (as of today), the Bam Bam ankle boots, so it was a no brainer, but what really is the star of the show is my turtleneck sweater which is the softest, coziest, most luxurious knitwear I have ever experienced and definitely the one that keeps me the warmest. The best part is its versatility so of course I wore it too.

En Cuéllar, otro pueblo estupendo, lleno de historia el cual visitamos el fin de semana. Como sabéis esta región es mucho más fría que Madrid, así que tuve que llevar un jersey gordo y un abrigo. El día fue soleado, pero ventoso y frío. Llevé mi maxi abrigo gris que me encanta porque tiene un aire a los años 90, con jeans rectos que también tienen un toque noventero. Para el frío, solo tengo un par de zapatos (de momento), los botines Bam Bam, así que no fue difícil escogerlos, pero la que realmente es la prenda estrella de este conjunto es mi jersey de cuello alto, que es lo más suave, más abrigado, y más cómodo que jamas hayas experimentado en prendas de punto. La mejor parte es su versatilidad, así que por supuesto fue una opción perfecta para aquel día de frío.

Pictures from our visit to Burgo de Osma, a wonderful place, full of history. It was a cold day, started off with a rainy morning, and then a cold noon and rest of the day. Since this region is always a few degrees colder than Madrid I was prepared wearing a coat and boots, although underneath I had a light sweater. I like to increase (or decrease on spring) gradually with layers because I find if I start heavy on them now, I will end having nothing left to add when the real cold comes, around Christmas time here in Madrid. I wore my countryside jeans, I think I have mentioned before how I have a few cheap pairs (from Topshop) for when we go to the countryside in case they get spoiled, since that day we were based on Riaza these jeans were what I had, although I have to admit I love how they look with the rest of the outfit.
I think I will make a countryside wardrobe edit very soon, because for the past few years it has become part of my life and I personally was very lost on what to wear when I first started spending the weekends at my boyfriend’s family farm house.

Fotos hechas en nuestra visita a Burgo de Osma, un pueblo maravilloso, lleno de historia. Hizo un día frío, comenzó con una mañana lluviosa, y luego un tarde fría. Ya que en esta región siempre suele haber unos grados menos que en Madrid me adelanté llevando un abrigo y botas, aunque debajo tuviese un suéter ligero. Me gusta aumentar (o disminuir en primavera) gradualmente las capas, porque siento que si comienzo abrigándome por completo ahora, acabaré por quedarme sin nada mas que añadir para cuando el verdadero frío comience. Aquel día llevé mis vaqueros “de campo” como yo los he apodado, creo que he mencionado antes como tengo unos pares de batalla (de Topshop) para cuando vamos al campo en caso de que se me estropeen con tanta actividad de exteriores. Aquel día veníamos de la finca y estos vaqueros eran lo que yo tenía, aunque debo admitir que por muy de batalla que sean me gusta como quedan en el conjunto.
Siento que debo hacer una entrada sobre vestuario campestre próximamente, ya que en estos últimos años los fines de semana en el campo han formado parte de mi vida, y personalmente cuando comencé a ir a la finca de los padres de mi novio en Riaza, estaba muy perdida sobre que llevar y que ponerme, de hecho aun lo estoy pero menos que antes, y mi formula para afrontar la vida rural ha sido crear un armario paralelo con ropa adecuada para este entorno.

As you know I am crazy over midi length everything so today it was the perfect day for just that. I am wearing my white midi skirt, this time with a sporty t-shirt. I don’t know why I like to wear this skirt with sneakers instead of the obvious choice that would be heels, but I am finding that to be the way I operate lately when it comes to clothes.

Como sabéis me encantan las prendas de largo midi, así que hoy decidí optar por esta opción. Combiné mi falda con una mi camiseta deportiva y zapatillas. No sé porqué me da siempre por llevar zapatillas o calzado completamente diferente a lo que en teoría seria lo más lógico para el conjunto, pero me he dado cuenta que es mi forma de llevar la ropa, y no puedo darle explicación. En fin, que es de lo más cómodo y eso siempre es un punto a favor, sobre todo con este calor.
