As you can see so far from my blog when I love a garment I wear till death do us part, and in this particular post everything with the exception of the shirt I have worn thousands of times. They are all great versatile garments that can be worn over and over again and are never tiring for the eye.
However the shirt i’m wearing does not exactly fit that category even though its a very classic design with a very classic pattern, the only but for me is the shade of blue. It’s a little brighter that what i’m used to, and to be honest I have taken more than a year to actually find outfits that work well with it. When I was given this shirt, I liked it but I was not completely sold about it. I knew it had potential just not so much at the moment. I kept it hanging in my closet for so long and the other day I was just so convinced it was time to wear it, that I just decided to give it a go, and was surprised by all the possibilities I found for it. Still it’s not one of my favorites so i’ll be wearing it in small dosis.

Como podéis ver en mi blog cuando me gusta una prenda la uso muchísimo y en este caso en particular todo con la excepción de la camisa ha sido usado un montón de veces. Son todas prendas versátiles estupendas que pueden ser usadas una y otra vez y no cansan a la vista.
Por otro lado la camisa que llevo no calza exactamente en esa categoría, aunque el diseño es clásico con un estampado que también lo es el tono de azul que lleva me parece un tanto estridente. Es un poco mas fuerte de lo que estoy acostumbrada a llevar, y para ser sincera me ha tomado mas de un año estrenarla y encontrar conjuntos para usarla. Cuando me regalaron esta camisa la verdad es que me gusto pero no estaba 100% convencida, y de toda mi ropa estoy siempre completamente enamorada, pero como fue un regalo…bueno, lo deje estar. Sabía que tenía potencial solo que no inmediato. Lo guardé en mi armario por mas de un año y el otro día me sentí completamente inspirada con varios posibles conjuntos de como usarla. Decidí darle una oportunidad, y la verdad estoy encantada. No es mi camisa a rayas favorita pero si la usaré mas de lo que pensaba inicialmente.

Black and ecru. Sometimes is the best way to go. As you can see I changed my sunglasses and I rarely do that! I’m so passionate about my classic wayfarers I have a hard time changing. I also have very little sunglasses, so I don’t have room for much change, though I promised to invest on a few more pairs, so I might get more soon. Also the heat had been keeping me from wearing jeans, but this pair is quite light so it’s a great option for summer.

Negro y crudo, frecuentemente es la mejor combinación. Como podéis ver me he cambiado las gafas y casi nunca lo hago! Estoy tan encantada con mis wayfarer clásicas de toda la vida que no me suelo plantear un cambio. También es porque tengo muy pocas gafas, así que no tengo mucho margen para cambiarlas, aunque me he prometido invertir mas en ellas, así que pronto tendré unas nuevas.
El calor últimamente me esta impidiendo llevar pantalones, pero hoy bajaron un poco las temperaturas así que me he decanto por estos vaqueros que son muy ligeros y una gran opción para el verano.

One of the things I brought home with me from Los Angeles, my Dodgers t-shirt! I love it so so much! I wore it today quite casually with one of my black suit trousers that I can’t live without. At least here it’s a little bit hot for trousers but these are more lightweight (thats’s why I own a few, different thickness for different weather) so it’s more approppiate for this temperature.

Today i’m in black and white mood. I was originally going to wear a black jumper instead of this shirt, but the weather was hot enough to not want to wear any knitwear, and instead pick something lighter like this menswear inspired white shirt.
