The more I use this jeans the more I love them, and the more I dig my idea of cutting them by myself in a way that the hem is now frayed. Re-inventing and old piece has to be one of my favorite things in clothes and one of my favorite assets of classic designs. Never in my life had it crossed my mind I would be able to recycle a pair of Topshop jeans from nine years ago. To their defense I have to say the quality is not as bad as their current clothes, so that helped a lot to make this a piece that could make it after so many years, and the fact that there was a nine year gap between the last time I used them, and the moment they re-appeared. So…there are factors to take into consideration. Could this happen with clothes bought today at the same store? Probably not. My sister has a pair of jeans from two years ago and already they are in pretty bad shape. (I am sorry if I offend anyone with what I am saying here, that is not what I intend to, but the truth with quality is the truth).
I paired them with this old Sandro top I have worn very little in the past couple of years I’ve had it, so it’s like new and could easily fit in a current collection (thing with good designs). Together they make the perfect combination for mild in between seasons weather.

Cuanto mas uso estos vaqueros mas me gustan y mas me alegro de haber tenido la genial idea de cortarlos en el tobillo de modo que quedasen naturalmente deshechos. Re-inventar prendas viejas tiene que ser de las cosas mas divertidas que se pueden hacer con la ropa, y una de las cualidades mas importantes en los diseños clásicos. Nunca en mi vida me hubiese imaginado que sería capaz de reciclar unos vaqueros Topshop de hace nueve años. A su defensa debo decir que la calidad de entonces no era la que es hoy, así que esto ayudó bastante a hacer de esta una prenda que sobreviviese tanto tiempo, y claro esta el hecho de que hubiese un espacio de nueve años sin que esta prenda se usase. Podría pasar esto mismo nueve años a partir de hoy? Lo veo difícil, mi hermana tiene un par de hace unos años y la verdad con uso medio no esta en muy buenas condiciones. ( No es mi intención ofender a nadie con esta afirmación pero la realidad de las calidades sobre todo en las firmas masivas, es lo que es, nos guste o no).
Combiné mis vaqueros viejos con este top de hace unos años de Sandro, que la verdad no he usado mucho, su diseño neutro y clásico hace que fácilmente se adapte al día de hoy (carácteristica de los buenos diseños). Juntos hacen una combinación ideal para un día cálido de entretiempo.

I told you about this skirt before, that you would see me wearing a lot of it, and here I am wearing it again. I love it so much, I can’t be away from her too long. The ways of wearing it, are endless I always have trouble narrowing down the outfit because possibilities are never ending. Even though it is a winter skirt, the fabric is not thick or heavy so at the end it suits every season. It is also a perfect fit for most occasions, usually you see me in my day to day clothes since I never take my camera when I go out at night, but I have worn this skirt for nights out and it works wonderfully as well.
I would really encourage you if you don’t have a tube midi skirt to go get one, it is a wonderful basic that will instantly blend with everything you have on your closet! Promise.

Me he referido a la falda que llevo hoy en varias ocasiones, y la última vez os dije como me veríais incontables veces con ella, pues bien aquí estoy una vez más encantada de la vida con ella. La verdad no puedo separarme mucho de esta falda, da tanto juego que estoy enganchada. Las formas de combinarla son tantas por lo que siempre que quiero usarla me cuesta decidirme por un solo conjunto, posibilidades infinitas. Aún que originalmente es una falda de la colección de invierno no es gruesa lo que permite usarla casi todo el año. Es ideal para cualquier ocasión, a mi me veis en mis conjuntos del día a día (ya que rara vez llevo la cámara conmigo por la noche) pero si que he usado esta falda para eventos y salidas por la noche en conjuntos un poco mas formales y sin duda queda igual de bien.
Os recomiendo a probarla si aún no tenéis una, las faldas midi de tubo son un básico estupendo (sobre todo en negro) y os garantizo que se adapta a cualquier armario ya sea que este solo compuesto de elementos clásicos como el mío o aun si es todo tendencias y color.

Second post with one of my favorites, my beautiful cream MHL Margaret Howell dungarees. Even though this is the second post wearing them and the first was like ten months ago I do wear them a lot, mostly for traveling, specially in summer. I find dungarees to be an amazing travel garment. You can store all your stuff, passport, plane ticket, card holder, wallet, all in the front pocket so comfortably. It makes things more tidy, and easier, as you need one thousand things in airports and sometimes you may take a while to find them.
Today I am not traveling, but I am in a dungarees mood, so here we go, a casual everyday dungarees outfit.

Segundo conjunto con una de mis prendas favoritas este mono por MHL Margaret Howell. Aunque solo es la segunda vez que me veis con esta prenda la verdad es una que uso un montón sobre todo cuando viajo. Encuentro que los monos son la prenda de viaje perfecto. Se pueden guardar todos los documentos necesarios: pasaporte, billete de avión, cartera, tarjetero, móvil en el compartimento del pecho y es de lo más cómodo. El fácil acceso a estos facilita tremendamente los tramites en aeropuertos y eso se agradece enormemente.
Hoy no estoy de viaje, pero sí me apetecía llevarlos ya que de cualquier forma son muy cómodos, ideales para el día a día.

So this is basically what happens when you are in early spring stages and travel to early fall, you still have that cold fear factor you carry from winter and you can’t get rid off until late…very late spring. I went out like this thinking if it is good for spring it will be good for fall as well…right? Well guess what? I was completely wrong! It was perfectly fine for the early morning but after a couple of hours…not so much. The day became hot, more close to summer than anything else and I was forced to take my layers off little by little. Good that I was wearing a blouse underneath my sweater…sometimes it’s just a bra and if that had been the case, well I guess I would have suffered quite a bit.

Esto es lo que pasa cuando una se viste para comienzos de primavera (época que aún llevamos el miedo al frío arrastrando desde el invierno) a comienzos de otoño. Salí vestida con este conjunto por la mañana tan contenta pensando si es adecuado para primavera es adecuado para otoño…pues bien…grave error. La verdad en un comienzo si que estaba genial pero según pasaban las horas el día se transformó en algo mas parecido a verano que otra cosa y tuve que ir poco a poco…fuera capas! Por suerte que llevaba una blusa bajo el jersey, muchas veces voy solo con sujetador y de haber sido así no sé muy bien que hubiese sido de mi.
