If you remember my “Summer 2014 sandals” entry you will see how I shared my wishlist of favorite footwear for this season. My number from the list was this pair by A.P.C the “Roma” sandals.
Last year A.P.C released a previous version of this sandal exactly the same style but in a different material (suede) with perforated leather in different colors (navy, burgundy and mustard yellow). I wanted the burgundy pair badly and I did not buy they right away and they sold out. This year I was the happiest girl when they re-released the same style in smooth leather and in black!
While in Paris this winter I almost buy them but I was not feeling the sandal call just yet, and was more into footwear I could wear right away. Well again my size sold out everywhere…but stalking all the online retailers that sold them last week I was lucky enough to have find them on sale 50% off, only pair left…my size! I snapped them right away, and this morning they arrived. I’m so happy with this purchase, so expect to see many summer outfits of me wearing them.

Last week as you might have noticed I did not update my blog for a few days, that was because I was in Stockholm visiting my friend Omar that currently lives there. I went for Midsummer, I had no idea about that celebration/tradition and neither had he, and it was the most awesome experience! The big plus too were the Midsummer sales, I can’t deny that.
I had only visited Stockholm once before nine years ago, and it was an express visit so I did not remember the whole of the city and this trip refreshed my memory on the beauty and awesomeness of this amazing city. Last time I visited it was late August and I remember great temperature, not the case now, the difference at this time of the year is around 15ºC from our weather here in Spain. Crazy! I felt I was in late winter or early spring so as you will see the next few outfit posts will be nothing summery, and maybe not much of an inspiration right now, but more suitable for my followers on cold weather, like you guys down on the Southern Hemisphere.
I know we are officially in summer but I labeled them as spring as they were taken under that season.

Summer is almost here! What better way to start it than with a fresh new pair of sandals?

Saying goodbye to spring is so hard for me. I see how summer is fast approaching and my favorite season ends! I know most people get super excited for summer, I did as a kid but when I grew up something changed and I became a spring lover. Days are longer in spring, everyday is unexpected you can wake up and find heat and sun, or cold and rain or a mild cloudy day, or all of the above.
Getting dress is also so much more fun, you can layer, play with lengths in tops and bottoms, wear sandals with coats, and sweaters with shorts, the advantages are endless! Trees are filled with flowers and mosquitos are not around as much as in summer. And I could go on. Instead i’ll just say goodbye to all the pretty flowers and all of my spring basics, such as my sweatshirts, and leather jackets, and thicker jeans, and ill try to do my best shopping for summer garments, which I hardly own, but this year I set myself to buy more.
