Fall is already here, in all it’s majesty. This weekend was so rainy, and strangely enough I was so happy with this weather. Now this is Spain, so of course even if we are talking rain we are lucky enough to have awesome temperature, so no tights are needed just yet, not even trousers to be honest. This outfit was perfect for the weather we had, a light coat was more than enough.
I wore my Acne Studios “baby flats” as I call them because well, they are in the style of the flats toddlers wear. I have a more obvious pair of “baby flats” by Topshop I got four years ago, this ones have this childish vibe but with a modern twist, that’s why I love them so, so much. I got them in Stockholm at one of the many Acne Studios stores we visited, yes Omar is the biggest fan (me too) but he took me to almost all of them, and convinced me to buy these. I was a little skeptical at first, since summer was just starting I knew I could not wear them in Spain until fall (due to the high temperatures), so I would have to keep them in my closet for months just waiting there to be worn. Well fortunately I am very patient, I am not the type of person that buys something and wears it right away, I wait until the moment comes, and after three months, finally it came!

El otoño ya esta aquí en toda su gloria. Este fin de semana fue bastante lluvioso pero extrañamente me lleno de alegría. Ahora claro, estando en Madrid el tiempo no es frío hasta bien entrado el otoño así que no hace falta ir en pantalones ni mucho abrigo aún. Este tipo de conjunto es la combinación perfecta para empezar el otoño y así añadimos poco a poco mas capas hasta llegar al invierno.
Estrene mis “zapatos de bebé” de Acne Studios. Le he puesto este mote a este tipo de calzado porque me recuerdan mucho a los zapatitos que usan las niñas pequeñas o los bebes. Tengo unos de Topshop que son calcados a los de los niños pequeños pero estos aun que tienen un aire infantil también tienen un toque moderno y menos evidente. Los compré en Estocolmo hace unos meses en una de las tiendas de Acne Studios ya ni me acuerdo en cual, mi amigo Omar como buen fan de Acne (yo también lo soy) me llevo a casi todas y me convenció de que tenía que llevarme estos. Al comienzo dudé bastante, era finales de primavera/comienzos de otoño y la verdad es que sabía que no iba a tener oportunidad de usarlos hasta llegado el otoño, pero como soy una persona muy paciente especialmente con el tema de la ropa (puedo comprar algo y no siento la necesidad de usarlo inmediatamente, lo guardo hasta que llega su momento) al final me decidí por ellas. Pues bien han pasado tres meses y por fin ha llegado su momento!

And today I wore my poppies for the first time! Super comfortable for a four inch heels. As you know, I go all black frequently, and today a very hot summer day I wore all black and felt no heat. Proof that there are options of an all black outfit to wear year long. You might also notice a new accessory, for those of you think I don’t accessorize actually I do. I have wanted to, subtly though, but I have wanted for ages, I just did not find the right accessories for me, until just recently. But I will leave that story for a new post where I will tell you all about accessorizing: how I feel about it, how you can do it softly and what my picks of the season are.

Hoy llevo mis poppy por primera vez! Son super cómodos para ser tacones de diez centímetros. Como sabéis suelo ir de negro con frecuencia y hoy un día muy caluroso de verano estuve comodísima de este oscuro color (o no color). Hay opciones para ir completamente de negro todo el año. También habréis notado un accesorio nuevo, para los que pensáis que no me gustan los complementos, la verdad es que si hay muchos que me encantan, lo que pasa que me cuesta encontrar los adecuados ya que soy muy exigente con la sobriedad de estos. Pero dejaré la historia de mi nuevo brazalete para otro día.

More pictures from lovely Stockholm! In this pictures im in Södermalm, one of my favorite neighborhoods in this city, I was going to say my favorite, but to be honest my favorite is Norrmalm.
When I visit a city the aesthetic of the street and buildings is what captures my interest the most and Stockholm would have a ten in architecture, it’s just breathless. The thing about this city is it is just so elegant, and posh, and clean, to be honest it’s not just in the city it is in almost everything swedish. Locals, when it comes to outfits could be described with the same words, and of course the local fashion brands represent that aesthetic to perfection as well. Yes of course i’m talking about Acne Studios, Filippa K or Hope. As my sister said, it’s like Paris but cleaner. And in a way I think it is.
It was cold though, the whole four days I was there, I kept thinking my friends in the Southern Hemisphere were probably warmer than me, but I was happy to go back to layering and warmer clothes, I do better dressing for in between seasons than summer that’s for sure.

I decided to start doing a few new things in my blog. One of them is the one garment, three ways (or four: one for each season). Also I came up with the idea of making a summary of my staples, how I wear them and where you can get similar items. Since the weather has been so hot lately, lets start with something you can wear all year long, but that I have been wearing a lot in hot days.
So for today: how I wear my LBD Little Black Dress in hot weather.
