SPRING 2015: OUTFIT 23
Nothing says in between weather like a trench coat. It’s the number garment I think of when spring comes to mind. It is one of those timeless classics that goes with anything you can think of and is always a good idea. I have worn mine so many times since I bought it I can’t even count. It was one of the best investments in regards to clothing I ever made. If you don’t have one I highly recommend you invest on a good quality trench coat, because these are guaranteed to last forever.
Today my outfit is a mix of classics (coming to think about it, most of my outfits are) but this one is a 50-50. I would have regularly worn this outfit with flats but today I was up to something different. Old classics as my trench coat or bag, and modern classics as my sneakers and little black dress .

Nada dice entre tiempo como una trenca. Es la primera prenda que se me viene a la cabeza cuando pienso en la primavera. Es uno de esos clásicos atemporales que va con todo nuestro armario y siempre acaba siendo una estupenda opción. Yo he usado mi trenca incontables veces desde que la compré y la considero una de las mejores inversiones que he hecho cuando se trata de ropa. Si aún no tenéis una os recomiendo buscar una de buena calidad ya que así os durará por siempre.
Hoy mi conjunto es una mezcla de clásicos, al final creo que todos mis conjuntos se basan en este método pero este en particular es 50-50. Normalmente usaría este conjunto con zapatos planos pero hoy me apetecía algo distinto. Combine clásicos de toda la vida como son la trenca o el bolso de Chanel, con clásicos modernos como mis zapatillas o vestido negro con cuero.

SPRING 2015: OUTFIT 22
I am not going to lie, there is not much explanation behind this outfit as well. As I have mentioned before I am in such a rush this past few weeks, some days its first come first go, and this is what happened with my outfit today. The only garment I put a little more though to, were my sneakers. I have been collecting white sneakers for a while, and most times I have a hard time picking a pair to wear. They are all so different and I like them all so much it is hard to pick a pair. This time I went for classic slip-ons. Talking about this type of shoes, I have a fabulous Vans pair from exactly ten years ago that I used to wear so much and I am trying to find it desperately because it will be such a great addition to my wardrobe! It’s funny how our style can evolve so much but the essence remains the same, seeing things I wore so much time ago I get to realize that. Hopefully I get to find them so I can make a post about the subject!

No os voy a mentir, este conjunto no tiene mucha historia tras el. Como he mencionado anteriormente llevo unas semanas de locos y estos días lo primero que pillo es lo primero que me pongo. Hoy lo único que me resultó más complicado fue escoger un par de zapatillas. He estado añadiendo a mi colección de calzado cada vez más zapatillas blancas y todas tan distintas que es difícil decidirse por un par. Al final escogí un par estilo slip-on. Hace diez años tuve varios pares de zapatillas de Vans en este estilo y hay uno en particular que me gustaría recuperar, ahora bien no sé si mi madre lo habrá tirado o si seguirá por alguna parte, espero que sí. Creo que sería interesante revivir algo bastante antiguo e incorporarlo a mi armario! Esto me hace pensar lo curioso que es el hecho que nuestro estilo evolucione pero la esencia siga siendo siempre la misma. Si algo nos gustó hace diez años es altamente probable que nos vuelva a enamorar.

SPRING 2015: OUTFIT 21
So last week, we had a very hot 28ºC day in the middle of fall, late fall (for those of you who don’t know I am currently in Santiago, Chile and it is fall here). Mornings are a little chilly so I went out with a jacket and as the day progressed and it became hot I took it off and did what I do when I need to keep my bag as empty as possible and that is tie my jacket on my waist. When we were taking pictures, I took my jacket off, I know tying stuff at the waist is trendy right now, and as you know I myself hate anything trendy, but also lets face it, it’s practical and we all do it or at least did it as kids. My intention was not to be photographed with my jacket tied at my waist, but the person I was with at the moment, suggested I take a few pictures with it tied at my waist and then just take it off. I though well why not, after all I am all about showing what I am naturally wearing, and I was naturally wearing my jacket tied, so I went for it. After seeing the pictures I kind of like it, it looks what it is: a practical solution for a given moment and not a misplaced kind of accessory (yes, I am talking about those plaid shirts tied at the waist when the person wearing them is also wearing another shirt as an actual shirt…who goes out like that?).

Estas fotos son de la semana pasada, el día que nos hizo 28ºC en medio del otoño (para los que no lo sepáis estoy en Santiago, Chile y aquí es otoño). Las mañanas son mas frías así que cuando salí de casa me puse una chaqueta, que mientras avanzaba el día me quite e hice lo que suelo hacer cuando llevo el bolso lleno, me la ate en la cintura. Al hacer las fotos me iba a quitar mi chaqueta, se que llevar algo atado a la cintura es tendencia ahora mismo, pero odio las tendencias y procuro mantenerme lo mas alejada a ellas que puedo (aunque cierto es, que todos llevamos en algún momento cosas atadas a la cintura ya que es lo más práctico que existe). Ahora bien, la persona con la que estaba sugirió que me la dejase puesta para un par de fotos y luego me la quitaba si quería. Me pareció buena idea, después de todo mi idea es siempre mostrar lo que realmente uso día a día y en ese momento realmente estaba usando la chaqueta en aquella forma. Después de ver las fotos la verdad es que me gustaron, creo que refleja una solución simple para una situación determinada. He visto gente llevando camisas a cuadros atadas a la cintura mientras llevan otra como se llevan normalmente, abotonada. No sé vosotros pero yo no entiendo en que situación alguien va así por la vida, creo que eso ya es llevar una tendencia demasiado lejos y se cae en el ridículo.
