Today is a sad day because it is the last day I get to wear my old, long loved black trousers. I got them ten, yes ten years ago, and have worn them so so much all of this past decade. They have been one of my most easy to wear, comfortable garments ever, but after so much time they have loose color and now finally broke. I was expecting this to happen, after all they are from Topshop, so they were not meant to last forever but even though they are from no fancy brand, the quality was pretty good for the price I payed back then, and they are definitely a much better quality than what the brand offers today. I am really sad to see them go, and now I have to go find a new pair, and that will be hard, because I am now, so much more demanding that I was before. I will keep my eyes open, for any possible replacement I may see, but for now, goodbye to a really good piece of clothing.

Hoy es un día triste porque me toca despedirme de una de mis prendas mas antiguas y mas queridas de todo mi armario, mis pantalones negros del Topshop. Los compre hace diez años y desde entonces han sido un básico imprescindible en mi armario. Lamentablemente y como es de esperar después de tanto uso, han perdido el color y ahora último han acabado por romperse. Estaba claro que esto pasaría ya que de todas formas no son de una marca muy impresionante, pero me encantaba su forma y que eran ideales para casi todo el año. La calidad era bastante buena en comparación con lo ofrece esta misma marca hoy en día. La verdad es una pena pero ahora me toca buscar un reemplazante lo que no va ser tarea fácil ya que con los años me he vuelto muy exigente y espero comprar un par que me dure otros diez años. En fin, veremos que encuentro, pero de momento mi última foto con ellos.

An all black outfit is always an amazing option, no matter the season or purpose it never fails. Today I am wearing my oldest pair of trousers (from 2006) with my black men’s sweatshirt and a classic black coat. I love to mix more casual, sporty garments such as my sneakers an cap with more classic and sleek ones such as my coat. An all black outfit can be very austere but it does not need to be boring, and with some white and red accents, you have that perfect touch to make it special.

Un conjunto todo en negro siempre es una opción estupenda, no importa la época del año o la ocasión jamás falla. Hoy llevo el par de pantalones mas antiguo de mi armario (de 2006) con mi sudadera de hombre y mi abrigo clásico. Me encanta mezclar prendas mas informales y deportivas con otras mas clásicas y elegantes. Un conjunto 100% negro es muy austero pero no tiene porque ser aburrido, con mínimos detalles en blancos y rojo cambia por completo y puede destacar y ser de lo mas original.

One of my go to combinations, when I don’t have much time to get ready (besides an all black ensemble) is jeans and a classic white shirt. I have a lot of jeans…a lot of white shirts so why not? No matter how many combinations I create in the same line they will all be different, because…well, I never repeat and exact same outfit. I wore a similar one years ago in L.A so here is my 2015 update of the same concept. If you are not so much into classic and like something a little more out there you can always add statement shoes and you can have a total different look, or even with skinny jeans and a pair of classic heels we would have a night out outfit, so it’s all really in the way you focus it.

Una de mis combinaciones mas socorridas (sin contar un conjunto 100% negro) es la de vaqueros y camisa blanca. Tengo bastantes vaqueros…y tengo bastantes camisas blancas así que por que no? No importa cuantas combinaciones haga en la misma línea procuro que todas sean distintas, mi regla número uno es no repetir el mismo conjunto jamás. Hace unos años os mostré un conjunto parecido, pero a la vez muy distinto, con tres de los mismos elementos. Si os va mucho el rollo simple y clásico como a mi no pasa nada, siempre hay mas opciones para llevar este conjunto. Unos zapatos llamativos dan mas vida a este conjunto, o si lo que buscáis es algo mas adecuado para salir por la noche, con unos vaqueros pitillos y/o tacones clásicos ya tenéis algo totalmente distinto pero con el mismo concepto!

My second winter outfit, nothing fancy just a casual everyday outfit in navy, ecru and black accessories. I’m starting to enjoy the socks with sneakers thing, I don’t do it much, hardly ever, but now it’s becoming appealing to me, I don’t know exactly why.
I’m wearing my new sunglasses by The Row, I ordered them a while back while I was in Chile but I just got to wear them now that I’m back in Madrid. I took some pictures before wearing them so I will do a review next week.

Mi segundo conjunto invernal, algo casual en tonos navy y crudo con accesorios negros. Me esta empezando a gustar la combinación de calcetines con zapatillas, no suelo llevarlos pero ahora con el frío se ha vuelto algo indispensable para mi.
Hoy estreno mis nuevas gafas, las compre estando en Chile pero no fue posible estrenarlas hasta llegar a Madrid (ya que se encontraban aquí), pero ahora por fin puedo! Haré una entrada sobre ellas la semana que viene, pero de momento os puedo contar que se han convertido en mis favoritas!
